For adults this time is about 7-9 hours. Kids sleep much more.

The amount of sleep each person needs depends on many factors, including age, health, recent physical exertion, and mental activity. There is genetic influence, too. But I think that around 7 to 7.5 hours of actual sleep appears to be optimal for most people. But there can be exceptions. For example read this article https://sleepmentor.net/10-famous-pe...-barely-sleep/ about 10 famous people who barely sleep.

I never paid enough attention to the quality of sleep and that's a huge mistake. https://trusthealthnet.com/ - here it's said that healthy sleep is really important to maintain your brain health. So now I understand that I should change my sleeping habits.
