Well, if we want to understand algorithm of page rank then we should also understand algorithm of Google. Because PR system only with Google search engine.


Page rank is due to vote by other websites, higher then number of linking websites to your website then higher the page rank of your site if the links sites are quality sites and relevant sites.


On the other hand, you have to understand natural links also as Google likes natural links today so instead of building links on only dofollow sites you should also use some nofollow sites to make it natural.

It may look daunting to non-mathematicians, but the PageRank algorithm is in fact elegantly simple and is calculated as follows:

• PR(A) = (1-d) + d (PR(T₁)/C(T₁) + ... + PR(T_n)/C(T_n))

where PR(A) is the PageRank of a page A
PR(T₁) is the PageRank of a page T₁
C(T₁) is the number of outgoing links from the page T₁
d is a damping factor in the range 0 < d < 1, usually set to 0.85

PageRank (PR) is an algorithm used by Google Search to rank websites in their search engine results. . PageRank is a way of measuring the importance of website pages.
