Mind power is like Lord of the Rings :)

Mind Power is simply our conscious mind, the way we think. It doesn't have anything to do with controlling or manipulating things using the mind. Writers on this subject would like you to believe that everything is possible with Mind Power, than you can change the course of the world etc. Its all just a trick to persuade the poor gullible soul to buy their books and listen to them.
Mind power is simply about controlling your thoughts when you want to and getting a positive influence/experience out of it (for yourself).

I think that a mind power is the only power human being actually possesses. Every particular moment of one's life is a result of cumulative mind power's activity in the past and is a ground for future decision making. Anyway, it's not the topic that could be easily discussed in forum format, there is lots of literature about it - from philosophical and religious to medical and scientifical points of view.
