Depends. Who are you?

If you're middle class, my experience is that life in Canada is slightly better. If you're poor, life in Canada is significantly better. If you're extremely wealthy, life in the U.S. is likely marginally better (though I know a handful of Canadian multimillionaires who are quite happy--when you're extremely wealthy, life just about anywhere is better).

A big part of it is health insurance. It's a source of stress in the U.S. that is far easier to deal with in Canada.
