when the cbi rate hits 1200 what does that mean to us

Once Bush is out of office we will see dramatic change from the country of Iraq.

This is my belief, opinion and hope. I have no facts to base it on. Just instinct.

Why would they (the Iraqi's) drag their feet for SO long now? Because they hate Bush and everything he stands for. Once the Bush administration is gone from the US government it will mark a turning point for the Iraqi government. I feel they will wait and see what the new administration brings to the arena and we may see dramatic change. But remember, not all change is good.

So I am simply waiting and watching. The CBI exchange rate is the only bona-fide way of keeping tabs on the Iraqi situation (from our standpoint). When the dramatic change occurs, they will show it.

This however, I beg to differ... due to pure Politics albeit Bush or two more Dems in the same kinda bush... (i.e. USA Admin).:noserious

Is this also the attitude for gratitude shown from the Iraqis as their "hate the Bush Admin" for allowing their freedom from the fangs of Saddam and his 2 sons???

All that was part & parcel of a wore torn country set to be in ruins until they decide and stand up to honest dealings and active, positive re unification for neighborly interaction resulting in prosperity for the region...

Until that is achieved, whether Clinton embrace the Iraqi Sheikhs with her Doris Day slacks or Obama is mistakenly identified as the new Osama from USA or McCain whips up another maverick hattrick to win more Funds sustaining troops in Iraq... policy won't change nor deter new expectations for a long time coming... not just yet and biznuz will carry on as usual, COUNT On IT!:ro_emote:

Our country cannot afford to babysit Iraq indefinitely. Had we pulled out 3 years ago, perhaps Saudi Arabia would have taken over Iraq. At least then the Saudi's would avert reaching "peak oil" for a while....

Our government has painted itself into a corner. The muslims have been and always will be just what they are. A society based on whoever is toughest, rules. Problem is that they are 99% weak-willed, and the 1% who do have balls choose to kill instead of improve.

My Bush reference was my opinion. At $4.00 per gallon for gasoline and nearly $5 per gallon for diesel, the terrorists are winning. The USA is vulnerable. The dollar is weak. The reason? Iraq.

I say pull out completely and let the chips fall where they may.

Sorry for the rant. Cannot stand this economy. Cannot stand Bush. Cannot get behind the two Dem hopefulls....McCain? Too old.

Focus on the USA and let the rest of the world remember what it was like BEFORE the USA starting babysitting the friggin' world.

To that, I can relate to your current & desperate demise to return strong and worthy but things are fledging as we watch everyday the barrels bursting into higher digits....:sads:

Yes, what do we do with the next elected President and what about the dollar and the millions caught in debt ??? Iraq would have by some stroke of a genius plan, deliver a red haring to get things altered but what???

Don't count on the Saudi Kingdom nor any other unless there's something in return as bargaining chip... this we can see why Iran isn't giving up and that is why also, USA just can't stand idly by either.
Unless the majority of Iranians being under 30's go on the rampage and lynch every one of their leading Mullahs in power, for they too are held at ransom from their dreams to live normally with the outside world... we can only hope, peace stays with the nuke facing that Syrian/Iran threat so Iraq can be "mis"manage as we follow their road to further uncertainties...
