I thought I would start a new thread, to open up some dialog, I personally Iam looking forward to the 31st of Jan, to see what effect the removal of Iraqi coins have on their market and towards a possible reval in the next few months ahead? Your Thoughts.

No doubt in my mind, this has to mean something is happening, only because there is no other logical reason I can find to replace current coins. It has been quiet ever since announcement, so this gets more interesting every day. (g)

IMO, we may be looking at a HCL passage very soon, with Dinar availability
drying up, then a nice peg (w/o being able to buy Dinar), then a drop in the
rate to shake out a couple trillion Dinar from panicked newbies, then a rocket
ride up in value to around $3.30...and then all the Dinar you want to buy at
the new rate. I think it will go to $4, even $5! Just my opinion. We shall see.

OSW make a very good point and a welcome one at that. I do not want to give thirty five percent of my dinar that I have been holding for over 4 years now up in capital gains. I love the USA, but it clearly is not by the people, for the people country any more or has it been for many years, I believe I will go off shore to cash the bulk of mine in\

We would be seeing more profit from the dinar if the Iraqis et al would stop shooting themselves in both feet. However, when I look back at the increase in value of the dinar over the last year, its gained 20% in value. Iraq may also be sitting on more unexplored but useful fields in Western Iraq, yet untapped making it the largest oil field reserve in the world...and the price of oil going up, should increase production and sales of Iraqi oil...benefitting the dinar...we shall see....Diana

I heard about real oil reserves a couple years ago, and this had been known even when Saddam was in control, but it was kept secret from him and his cronies, so no doubt, finally hearing more public reports of this, Iraq will indeed be number one in oil reserves, proven reserves, while we all know Saudi oil is long past peake and on decline, and that is why they are investing in everything but oil related interests. They have kep the secret of their wells going dry for five years ever since they expelled any outsiders who were working in oil industry there. I have a feeling Iran is in same boat or they would not be going nuclear and ignoring the worlds concerns.
Sure has been an interesting ride to this point, and the ride is getting closer to being over every day. Amazing how time flies when you don't pay as close attention to Iraq and all their internal fighting. It is amazing how they won't come together and the sooner they would, the sooner they become the largest and richest country in the world. It defies logic why this has dragged on for so long, yet again, we have all learned they are lost on logics, they should have just moved capital to Kurdistan and leveled Baghshit from start. That is where the problem has always been, and always will be with the corruption running rampant in gov., just about the same as in U.S. lol
