Default 2008 Iraq Economic Year..RV first?

We have witnessed many Iraq officials, including Maliki himself during an interview state that 2007 was the security year for Iraq, and 2008 would be the economic year!

Thinking about this, I would think they would RV either before 2008 or pretty early into the year. It is not as if, they RV and all of a sudden the stores are miraculously up and running...everyone has jobs....the oil infrastructure is booming.....and everyone and everything is hunky dory, in one magical RV day. This would be a process IMO, that would start with our RV. We have also witnessed many reports of a basket with surrounding countries. All this great news coming out....and tiny tid-bits that I hear non-forum related..puts me in the belief that our time to exit this roller coaster is near!!!! JMHO!

It's been a long time coming, but the evidence is pointing in the right direction finally.

It would sure be a great way to end the year.

Yes, Arvie...I see your point....and believe me, have had my share of annoyance with Iraq's seemingly slow nature. However, if you start looking at the news that is coming out...it appears as some sort of fire has been lit under someone's you know what!

You can't ignore the fact that they keep saying 2008 is the year for Economics in Iraq. Surely, they can't be promoting themselves, or patting themselves on the back for such an insanely low exchange rate. (which we all know, is artificial)

I hear your disgust...and again...believe me...I have been there a gazillion times in the past!

Default have a funny story about dinar

As many of you know I own a cigar store in Sandiego. In my store tonight to marines came to purchase some cigs and cigars etc. One of the marines, paid for his purchase and said I would like to give you a tip! and he pulled a 250 note from the central bank of Iraq and said that he brought home just to give to me. I kinda laughed and said wait just a minute. went to my safe and pulled out a few million in Dinar and said that I would as his to mine, we had a good laugh and talked about dinar, I could not get much out of him as far as any reval news but goes to show you a small world its a small world.
