Our Lower Denoms!?!?

The president of de la rue, was interviewed in the Chicago Tribune Review...today's article...at the very bottom, he said this...

Q What's the most frustrating thing about your job?

A Our currency product is used *********, but because we can't put our company name on it, few people know who we are.

We print American Express traveler's checks and the holographic dove on the Visa card. Recently we printed and shipped $8 billion in Iraqi currency. Almost everyone ********* uses our products.

wow, I didn't read it that way at first. Thanks Bubba...I am wondering if perhaps the journalist put that "$" sign in there....when maybe he said 8 billion in Iraqi currency, meaning 8 billion dinar. The general masses probably know nothing of NID, and assumed he was talking in dollars.

Does this stack up alongside the guesstimate of how much dinar was printed/circulated?

From the CV he presented this chap has only been President of De La Rue since August this year, so this has to be a very recent interview.

I went to the de la rue website, and found a place where you can ask questions. I would like to find out what exact denoms of the NID were printed and shipped...but not certain that they would be able to tell me....or if they would...would that be considered insider info??

I think this is very positive. I am hearing from other dinar friends that they feel a the reval coming by the end of 07 or the very begining of Jan. However this is just rumor and spec, and not tobe represented as fact of any kind. Well its late off to bed, take care all

Thanks for the amazing info, though now i wish i haven't read it at all since i got too optimistic about this again. If the guy really said 8 billion USD worth dinars then we have something to cheer about, but if it was 8 billion dinars, then it doesn't mean anything. Let's just keep our hopes up and wait for the best.
