Arrow Question About the 28th of October

Has anyone heard that Iraq has until the 28th of October to value thier money? If they don't value by then, OF COURSE, THEY WILL HAVE ANOTHER 90 DAYS. I know to, so much has to come into play with security.
When I first started reading here in February, they were suppose to value by the 28th of March. Also is this something that can only happen if the HCL is passed?

I read something on another forum about something to what your talking about they call it a loi..which stands for letter of intent. Where they send a letter to the IMF or world govt granting permission to raise the currency.I think I read that it was up today but it may be the date your speaking of....I'll believe it when I see it. I don't take any info as any sense of hope to an Rv this Iraqi govt has wanked it for to long. They might be cross eyed by now. But yes I believe i read somethiing to what your speaking of. Tank
Use common sense...the world may just start look different....its always fun to dream...and you never know they may come true ONE DAY

about all we can do is "WAIT AND HOPE"...I have to agree with you there tank about this Iraqi Government....their own people are not any better off after this PM and his corrupt government....he likes to ride that "FENCE" too much instead of making harsh and rational decisions...IMHO...Pat

I was speaking to one Kuwaiti business woman in the waiting room of this renown Institution in Bangkok (where I am also a resident guest at this moment) called Bumrungrad International.

We covered several interesting issues about the invasion by Saddam and more than 10 years has passed and its still recovering from horrific wounds to their memories from a close neighbor and when comparing the wealth many made out of the Kuwaiti Dinar then, I asked for her opinion as seen back in Kuwait till this day about the chances and parallels of Iraq....

She has family there in Iraq and many others and upon comparison, IT COULD BE... and upon the Dinar value reaching the status like her country went through, IT WILL SOMEDAY, and on how soon she herself thinks, they or most Iraqis and back in Kuwait also believes, NOT AS EARLY AS 10 years from now...at least!!!

It didn't surprise me anyway but she is optimistic, being a business woman herself here for a "special" treatment and I was just a guest residing in the ho****al suite like she is but is undergoing treatment while I am was an ex patient but chose to book in this comfortable Deluxe Suite for us both, my wife i.e. after arriving back in Bangkok this afternoon from Hua Hin.

Thank you Tank, Pat, and Yogi I was beginning to think no one was going to comment on this question. The person that tuned me on to the dinar ask me if I had read anything about this on RolClub.
I don't think it will RV very soon either, although I always keep hope. I think the Iraqi government wants to keep things just as they are, until they can fill their pockets. They have their people and our government right where they want them and us. I totally agree with you Pat and Tank.
I know others have commented on this too, but the thing that bothers me so much is they have so many of our children over there that have never had a chance at life, and some never will because they are now deceased. I think most of them has had to learn how to appreciate life so much so quick. No one that hasn't been there has no idea what they go through, I know I don't. I go to work, eat what I want, sit at the computer when I want, go to sleep in a nice clean bed, it makes me sick to my stomach when I think about what they are having to go through for us.Their families have suffered so much, I can not even begin to imagine. It totally breaks my heart, and I know it does others to. I also believe with all my heart the only reason we went in there was for the OIL. I am as guily as anyone else, but we have all gotten to where we waste and need to much. I don't want to step on anyones toes so I will stop here, I guess this is a totally different subject.
I wish so much that we could get more opinions and discussions going on here at RolClub with out anyone taking offense. I use to love to read the opinions everyone had here, but it always turned into arguing and everyone mad at each other. I don't know why, if people read something that they don't agree with, they can't just state their opinion with out bashing someone else for theirs. I think we could all get some informative information, and see what others take on this is. I also know NO ONE knows IF or WHEN it will happen, but we could at least have some good discussions. We need something here, because it is so horribly boring. It seems to me when it comes to the Dinar it is only the news, WHICH I APPRECIATE SO MUCH, I think a lot of hard work is put into it by Seaview, and I don't know what happened to Lunar. The only place I see any other news, is what little they put on TV and I don't watch much of that.
I know I am the one that ask this question, and some of the things I have opinioniated on here is off topic, but I am NEW to posting and don't know if I have crossed any lines here. If I have Yogi or someone else please let me know.
Hope you are having a good trip Yogi.
    Thanks again you guys!!!

I think, (or hope), the dinar will have reached 1100-1000 by this years end.

Next year I think from the articles that Iraq will be more financially viable to start a bit of a push on their Economy and I think from what I have been reading that they want to - which is even more encouraging.

Where that will take the Dinar remains to be seen.

I do think the large oil majors are chomping at the bit to get in - de****e the varying articles - and that can only be a good thing.

I know there are rumours flying around on other forums and that is great, so much the better if any come to fluition, however I like to take a conservative view at this moment and wait and see how Iraq develops in the next few months and I really believe a clearer picture will emerge.

I hope the Turks calm down and that is resolved shortly - it is a real spanner in the works.

    Yogi - 10 years? - aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    Seaviews quote:
    Yogi - 10 years?? - aaahhhh,
I don't think I will be able to enjoy much in 10 years, that is a long time. I don't want to take it that far. I guess if it is that long my children and grandchildren will be the ones enjoying it, they will probably have me in a nursing home. Yikes!!!!!!
I am with you Seaview, and I hope the Turks calm down to - because that is scaring me. If they don't calm down soon, the whole world will be suffering.

Nana, I will weigh in, I think we will see some movement the first quarter of 08. I believe we will see a troop reduction, better security and because of the money influx in Iraq, OIL wil begin to flow at near normal rates next year (barring any unforseen problems). We may see some very dramatic things in 08. Number one is that we may see an Iraq that was on Life Support, back on her feet. We can only hope, wait and see. Glad you are here.

Glad to see some of the old timers coming back-- myself included. Like everyone else got tired of all the hoop la on the other forums. Hopefully we can have a nice place and deal with honest opinions and some facts to back it up. I am sure everyone here is tired of all the rumors that don't come true.
Its good to be back!!! Looking forward for good things to come!!!

Yeah...like you all, we ALL too are concerned by the latest developments...thats what the Kuwaiti lady had included as well...it is these uncertain but recurring "indifferences" the Muslim world out there has among and on themselves that makes it all too unpredictable and the International Community is doing all it can to contain it before another double-barrel headed Mid-East madmen shoots his way about the camps...

10 years!!!....hahaaa...we both laughed it off too but the interesting part she (Kuwaiti bizlady) quipped was: gives them time to educate themselves about a peaceful co-habitation, even among themselves, before the rest of the interested wolves can see or cash in their Investment returns!!!

Great to see you posting again S-Nana... keep it up, some may learn to relish positive posts and patience you are showing...it helps those in an anxiety state.
