Hey po I read your comments on the other forum and I agree with you to a point but don't believe in the duck and bunny crap of a 1-1 rv. You say a bunch of speculators would jump in on 1 penny rv..whats different now today... as a bunch have already jumped in due to iraq draging its ass over the years. Each day that goes by more and more jump in or add more to there stash. I don't think its rocket science that this is a good potential investment that you wont loose but at worst case break even with big banks involved. But there is the unknown and its still a risk but a good one IMO. Thats why you won't see an rv of mass porportions a dollar or a penny due to all the complications of an economy absorbing it, substaining it and speculation to another group of players. Slow grow is the only way to go. If the m2 figures were not as high as they are then I could believe or see that possibilty of restoration of a high rv. To restore it at a 1-1 rv would make iraq king of the world and the most powerful wealthiest country on the planet overnight...its not reasonable and frankly not possible. Maybe the m2 figures are a lie. Right now iraq is stuck in rock in a hard place...there are so many senarios of what they could do and the reprecusions of such .....there are lots of out comes im sure. But to me the one that makes the most sense with out doing a total lop or issuing a newer currency is to grow it slowly and open the currency on the forex as security and oil production inceases( with laws in place such as the HCL)...letting the market decide with the help of the cbi setting and having a sound plan to let the dinar increase due to export increases. and the absortion of speculators already in the game cashing in with a decrease in money supply. Some get out of the game and others jump in, This can happen very rapidly if they chose to have a petro dinar. meaning you want oil then give me dinars for our oil and the cbi sets the price at a nice rate. That is the only way posible we can see skyrocketing dinar IMO other wise slow grow or a curency change witha lop which we all know looping isnt a good thing for confidence in a currency or economy. All im saying is 1-1 overnight isnt happening never has anthing like that happened before..the figures and numbers don't add up. All we can do is hopethe m2 figures are a lie to discourage speculation. Tank
Use common sense...the world may just start look different....its always fun to dream...and you never know they may come true ONE DAY

Good observation Tank. I have looked at this so many different ways that I have a neckache. I hope for 1000 to 1 before 08 (I don't think we will make it) and then a boost in the first quarter. Slow and easy is what I think the Iraqis intend and I hope for 500 to 1 before I am too old to take advantage of cashing out.. But, Hey, I DREAM of the famous.19 we saw at safedinar in August I think it was. We will win here, just got to realize that overnight riches are just smoke by the pumpers... Hope we see more post from all as we get this baby back on track. Great Friday all.

Good insight Tank.. I just can't see them dragging this on for to much longer. With the debt releif from all those countries, they will not wait forever for Iraq to get their carp together... Also big oil will not do any business with this weak currency.. Without oil no economy. Plus the people of Iraq are starving and jobless and they won't wait much longer either. Heck when we took Saddam out ,the dinar then dropped virtually overnight to nothing. Why can't it come back the same way with the new dinar? IMO Like everyone says , we will just have to wait and see what unfolds. I do agree that this investment will pay off in time. As for speculation, I don't think there is that many people jumping into this right now. The auctions have almost stopped and the rate hasn't changed in a month or so. Plus all the bad news coming out of Iraq. I know a lot of people who sold their dinar already. If you see any kind of decent excahnge rate happen like from 1235 to .01 watch the big boys jump in,especially when the HCL gets passed. Just my thoughts.

well IMHO we have had a slow grow so far....I mean I've been invested in this over 2 years now....it has been a slow grow....but,that being said, things appear to be getting a little better in Iraq...the only problem is this lethargic, pathetic, corrupt government that says more then do.....their people are getting very tried of waiting while all the parliament does is not show up or fight over issues that don't make any more sense.....wearing their suits and ties living in air conditioned buildings, stealing money under the table while their people starve, have no electricity and non of the perks that their parliament have....something is going to have to give....soon...just my opinion...but I"m hoping that 2008 will be our year...the year of the dinar...Pat

Great evening all, I am so glad to see some life back at RolClub.
    Warrior,

You make it sound like the the US government and all the soldiers who lost their lives will benefit by passing the US backed HCL. The big oil companies will be the only ones to make billions from raping the natural resources that belong to the people of Iraq.

Stargate, not at all. I am a Nam Vet myself, I admire our Brave Men and Women that are carrying this fight to the bad guys. My post was that I am sick and tired of a lot of folks making the United States of America, a Country I am most proud of, out as the Evil that is screwing Iraq. You may have another take, I accept that, however, the HCL you will see is one that is part of all the Iraqi peoples, not just Shia, Sunni or Kurd, all the people will share. Oil Companies should be rewarded for the great amount of money it takes to bring in wells, get oil to storage areas etc. It is called COMMERCE.. Thanks for the words and I hope we can continue to share ideas.

Because of the high denomination of notes out there and the money supply of 20 trillion dinar. Thats why I don't beleive in a RV in a day like they DV devalued in a day. If the numbers are bogus and say there were only 1-2 trillion dinar ever printed i could see it posibbly happening. Yea the people are starving over there but the ones who do work are getting paid quite nicely in dinar IF THERE WAS EVER A 1-1RV. Examp I think I read a teacher gets paid 250,000 dinar a month, soldiers 300,000-400,000, Street worker (cleaning crew)...not a prostitue..lol as I know some of you were thinking that... dirty minds...ahhaha make around 100,000 to 150,000 dinar a month. I remember reading articles about this a year or so back. I know things cost alot in dinar but im sure there is some kinda saving going on and If it did RV in a day your saying the ones that work are now suddenly wealthy, I dunno there are speculators everyday that get in on this that your wrong...ebay is proof of that. Its not as hot as it was last year around this time. And for the person who said the dinar has been a slow grow for years as hes been invested for 2 WRONG its just now one year where we saw any movement begin I think it was 1470 forever and on Oct 15 around that time of 2006 we saw movement and now were at 1232. We had great leaps tward the end of the year of 2006 and first quarter of 2007. So over the course of the year it apprecatied 238 PIPS to the dollar. Nobody knows what will happen and we all can guess. I just hope for the continue of slow grow like this cause at this rate in 5-6 years it would be 1-1. Just dont want a currency change with a lop that will fu#k us. Tank

I agree to a point. The salaries you speak of 100,000-300,000 dinar will be adjusted to that salary frame (at present dollar value).Which is as of today 100,000 divided by 1235= $80.97. You call $80.97 PER MONTH a good salary? The teachers you speak of at 250,000 dinar PER MONTH is $202.42.NO they will not become wealthy, just less dinar to carry around.
And IMO no one knows how much they printed. Like I said they will never get the oil out of the ground with that rate of 1235.Forget it!!! But we shall see.
