Boom to Bust?

OK, guys, not sure what's going on here. For the past 2-3 months, it seemed like thing were poppin, speeding right along. Rumors right and left and yes, i know, from people that might not be the sharpest tools in the tool shed, but rumors none the less. What has happened these past 2-3 weeks? The only :yak: i hear is coming from LN. What are your thoughts on where we stand with this investment?!?!?!?! It seems that we are standing still as of late. Please post your opinions, yea or nay, as to when/if a reval will happen..

It will, slow grow style, a faster slow-grow once HCL is mandated and foreigners allowed in to drill and make oil-income. Maybe a weak to fair overnight RV if Bush pulls the strings on it. GOI is not helping us or their own people by their attempt on autonomy (meaning wait it out until Bush is out of office) from the occupying country.

I don't think we will see any big movement on the RV. If you read between the lines, they are moving at the rate they decided years ago. So sad many bought into the 'get rich" pumpers and dumpers. I know many will bash me here, not the reason for the post, JMO. I have a fair amount invested and did so knowing it could all be lost. Hey, look at the US market the past week, at least I can break even on my Dinar investment TODAY..Have a great weekend, maybe we will see a "rumor" on Monday that will restart us. :cheers:

Hunter, always had faith that this investment would pan out. Early on, signs for the RV looked real good (I never did connect Rock's dots though) but as I read and watched and became educated by the forum, my feelings have become what you read. We will be fine, just a long term investment IMO. Have you noticed that in all the forums, the "pumpers" are real quite? My how a few weeks changes things. Best. Warrior got to get a cup.

All the pumpers are gone... its good cause at least we get real opinions.and when i first invested in this i was caught up in all the pump years ago. I knew even after all the pump in the future it will be a good investment.JMO. Its just gonna take time. I believe that the HCL and the oil summit will be events to look forward too. If there is gonna be any overnight rv it will be a small modest one . Its gonna be a slow grow. Its the only way not to shock an economy and not let iraq be the richest country in the world money supply wise in a single day. Resource wise yes with the proven oil reseves and the undiscovered reserves then yes it may or could be the richest. They have to get the oil out of the ground at a good production rate, security has to become better, and finally a stable productive govt that gets things done and not procrastinate and argue over issues. If all these things can fall into place iraq has a great future. The oil reserves in the ground and the surrounding countries with a higher currency rate is the reason i got into the investment. I do know that it all can be lost thats why i didn't invest what i can afford to loose cause the possible reward dose out weigh the risk and it was a risk i was willing to take. This investment is just gonna take time...plain and simple. Tank:thumbsup:

Give it a few days after Parliament reseats and you will hear the (BS) hype blowing from up north again. Guaranteed.

The North Winds you speak of are now praise for Syria and Iran and the New Iraq. My thought is that we will be in Iraq a long time in some type of security force. The RV will happen, I still think from .19 to .31 JMO and I will be a happy Warrior. All this will happen, No Coup folks. Just takes time. No instant millionaires. Just happy investors when it comes in. Heck the learning experience from this forum alone is worth the ride. Remember, we will be fine, read, learn, debate and most of all have patience. Now where is my coffee.. Just set it down by the Donuts.. :>)

I've been invested since Aug. 2004 and IMO it's a no-brainer.....this will pay off for us! It's already increased around 17% for me. RV when??....sometime before the next US presidential elections. Our President and Military are doing a great job for us.....freedom does count!!

IMO, the only negative side of this investment is the paid BS artists that come on here and try to spoon feed us the Kool aid. They just stir the pot for their own agenda and confuse the situation. I'm glad their numbers have decreased but estimate they will return soon.

At those rates of an RV we will or most will be instant millionares.Not happening friend. A rv at .31 will mean if you own 1 millon dinar you have over 3 million us dollars. You make no sense with your opinion. Tank

I got into this investment 3 years ago on a very simple idea: that the value of the dinar will increase dramatically when there is peace and prosperity in Iraq.
I still believe this.

However, de****e all the various benchmarks along the way (HCL, ICI, FIL) none of them have helped create the peace and prosperity that is the fundemental underpinning of a strong dinar.

When there is peace and stability it will boom. Not sure if this will be by slow-grow or reval, but it will boom. But there has to be some kind of accord among factions first.

When? I hope for Sept. when parliament reconvenes, but who knows?

as much as i debunk ln-if you examine the news thru his eyes-things are interesting. if you assume his sources and viewpoints are correct-things are falling into place. ive listened to him for 5 shows....

The most powerful force we have working for a good RV is the fact that our President and a lot of other good people want it to happen. IMO, we must win the struggle in Iraq or face it again in the near future. Wisdom will prevail in this war and it will be good for Iraq and for our investment.

I've placed 50% of my stash in Warka savings and ISX, also considering their CD's. We may even have good news in Sept. if the GOI gets it together. Too much oil in the ground to delay the oil patch groups....money talks!!!

My math is perfect if your 0.31 is cents to one dinar. If it's .31 dinar to the dollar then you are correct. It can be seen either way depends how positive you are about this speculation.

well for me it depends on if he is a truthful person or he is insane and delusional. he claims to be on speaking terms w/maliki and talibani based on his shared combat experiences w/maliki, i believe. if he does have their ear then he can make the claims he is with some credibility. his assertions re the bush admin and the oil co's reflect my own personal viewpoints. rose colored glasses?? if the hcl does give iraq 5% profits-then it is the right biz decision not to sign it and to negotiate on their terms and keep the balance of profits for themselves. LN then projects that those figs will give the iraqis adequate reserves to rv the dinar at a decent rate and repay the us for freeing iraq. its all interesting. he claimed maliki was listening to thursdays show-i tried to call in to give maliki my 2 cents, but the lines were busy.

It would seem that if LN was privy to the type of information that he claims to have access to he would have a bit more couth and probably bit censored...to an extent. I don't know too much about the man but it would seem that most of what he says should be taken with a grain (or two) of salt.

That is just my HO so please keep that in mind. I try to take everything in stride and keep an even head but something just doesn't seem right to me.

I could be wrong but the last time I heard any body use the term " a real savy investor" was by the mantra at freeland Opps. Dont know why that or this term stuck out in my mind as does the name Larry Nichols but I dont associate them with good times. Just my 2 cents worth.
