Just got a call from a friend that said Cheney and a few others from the admin will be in Iraq Tuesday morning.
When have any senior statesman had a prior announcement about going to Iraq? I don't mean to be negative so please forgive the meaning but they have always been secret till after they arrive for security reasons haven't they?
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Guess we see come Tuesday. Passed on what I was told from someone who is well informed of these events.
But now I also see news popping of talks happening with Iran (in Baghdad) on Tuesday. Maybe related?

LOL, I'm not concerned with being bashed. I fell out of a plane at 8000 feet and landed on my head, I have a thick skin/skull. LOL
I'm not really excited about anything. I hear bits and pieces of things from different friends and business associates and I take them all as rumor until proven otherwise.
The last exciting thing I heard was that the ISX was being promoted heavily at the Cairo-Alexandria stock exchange, funny thing is that there is no talk of ISX within the US markets and everyone that I have spoken to that has a physical presence at the SE has not heard anything either.
I was joking about falling from the plane. I actually jumped.

I know that God has more than a million ways to meet our needs, but some of us may really feel that we "need" this to happen now. I know what you are saying Inscrutable. This is a good example of how different people have different needs and views at different times. What one may call a need, you may view as a luxury and vice versa. So it is just a matter of perception and timing. I used to share your view (not that I believe your above statement sums up your complete view of the subject) but have come to be more compassionate and less judgemental as of late (not to say that you are not). It is amazing how your view changes when the shoe is on the other foot, namely mine. I have come to know what it means "when you have done all you know to do, just stand" and I would like to add "and believe that the Word is true". Sometimes bad things happen to good people. Not to paint a glim picture of my situation, just a tough one that I know God is at work perfecting that which concerns me. He will not let me down. He never has and never will. I just have to keep focused on what is the truth and not the facts. And Lord knows that I will never judge anyone again when it comes to finances.
