Hey Chiefwealth,
I hope you don't lump me in with the "bad vibes" people as it's not my intention to discourage you, however my opinion is that it's a VERY bad idea to be emotionally tied to an investment that history has shown to be incredibly unpredicatable and volatile.
I understand that this is easier said than done, since the potential RV would be life changing for most, if not all of us but in my opinion, the ONLY time to start celebrating is when your IQD has successfully been converted to the currency of your choice at a rate that's pleasing to you.
All the "stuff" leading up to that point can be exhilirating and fun to read but it can also be detrimental if it's not taken in the proper context. I believe people like Rolls Royce and Susie genuinely trust their sources and who knows, they may be spot on with the rate and with the timing. But the thing we all have to remember is that the course of events will play out exactly how it's supposed to, regardless of what is posted/confirmed etc here on ROL club At the end of the day, when this ride is over, no one is going to care who knew what, when they knew it or who found it first...the only thing that will matter is whether or not you are holding dinar.
I have a friend that was so emotionally invested in this thing that his mood literally changed depending on the latest word on this forum. We have both held our dinar for years but have very different perspectives on how things have progressed.
He has experienced soooo many peakes and valleys over these 3 years, so many expectations and let downs, so many "for sure RV dates" which have come and gone...the result is that he has become jaded and cynical.
I on the otherhand purchased my dinar with the expectation of holding it for years before hitting the "jackpot". I glance through this thread every few weeks and appreciate all of the information that so many of you work so hard to dig up, but over the years I have learned to take any news with a grain of salt.
The difference between my friend and I is that from my perspective the country of Iraq has taken GIANT steps forward. If I look at the progress they have made in the past 3 years, I consider it truly remarkable. He doesn't see it that way...he's frustrated from reading forums on a daily basis and emotionally investing himself into every "RV rumor". He's become blinded to the big picture.
It's interesting, but typically if you ask someone to "research" an issue, they will start with a predetermined conclusion and then work backwards looking for evidence to support that conclusion ( this is why I find ALL media so frustrating )
In our case, we all want so badly for a massive RV to occur that we're open to evidence that supports this position and immediately reject anything that doesn't. It's difficult to stay objective when we become too emotionally invested.
This doesn't mean that the information from RR's contacts is not true...it very well could be and we may all be rich by June 1st but asking him to repeat or reaffirm the same information isn't going to magically bring the RV to fruition. If it's time then it will happen...if it's not, then we have to wait some more.
Personally I am very comfortable with my decision to purchase dinar as I believe it will amount to a SIGNIFICANT return. For me it's not a matter of "if" but "when" and quite honestly I don't know that anybody knows for sure, so for me it's a waste of time seeking a response to a question that can't be answered. ( except by Dr. Shabibi perhaps lol )
I know it sounds cliche but it will happen when it happens.
The kicker is this... the guy who spent hours of his life on a forum riding every up and down will be no richer than the guy who put his dinar in a shoebox and enjoyed life without even a thought to his stash.
The destination will be the same for all of us ( good or bad ) but the course of the journey is entirely up to each individual. My advice...relax, do some "research" if you want, allow yourself to dream/plan a little, but don't get too emotionally attached until the cash is in your hand. Then and only then do we have reason to be excited.
Take care,
scotty
