Thanks, RR. Glad you're back and posting again (although I know you've been back for a while). This post also lets us know what they are expecting in-country and that it's not just our own hopes that's coloring our expectations.

According to my sources . . . this has been a back-n-forth, ongoing deal . . . with both sides trying to make the best deal they can for themselves . . . these guys are quite good @ making deals . . . no matter what their dealing with . . . [ kind'a like playing hi-stakes poker ] . . .

I'm sure @ somepoint they will realize the time is over for backing each other into a corner . . . and then it COULD come down to a phone conversation . . .

No reason that this can not also happen before the end of this month . . . [ speculation . . . I know, but we're all apparently in the speculation business ] . . .

    Best to all . . . RR . . .

Well true, however the last I heard. SA is wanting certain things. Mainly they are looking out for their Sunny brothers! So basicly, politics is what is holding us up! Until debts are settled from my understanding. Iraq will not be aloud on the world market! This is our main problem, debt settlement.

Saudi Arabia, one of Iraq's biggest creditors, has withheld relief amid concerns about the growing influence of Shiite Iran in Iraq.

Once the Oil Laws are passed and National Reconciliation has made progress I believe they will be more likely to forgive most, if not all of Iraq's debts to them. Perhaps Kuwait & Russia would soon follow. JMO

Thanks for the info. With due respect to you, there is very little hope that the laws will be passed until at least Sep or Oct never mind the end of this month. That would be the height of optimism. Seeing that you are in touch with the Kurds, I'm sure you are aware that the Kurds are still in negotiations in Baghdad this week trying to renegotiate the details of the law especially the distribution of oil revenues. No way would any law be passed by end of this month.

hmmmmm oil summit end of this month .....seems to me you would need a complete law to hold such a gem.......
It seems that the state insists, or preserve the value of the Iraqi dinar 148 against the dollar ...Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states [ MOF Sept 2006]

Wow, you're just running the gambit here aren't you? No one here needs you destructive opinions. That is all you have done since you've come into this forum. Will you let it go before you find yourself on the outside looking in.
