We've been in this investment for a bit over a year. Have done quite a bit of dreaming, making plans, etc just like the rest of you.
I am a Financial Planner and a Tax Accountant. Had my practice almost 30 years now. I'd sure like to know where the person who said they would be earning 40% interest on their investment is going to in. I'd like to advise everyone to remember to set up a Family Living Trust with a good Estate Attorney to keep everything quite private. You're going to be in much higher tax brackets, most likely, so remember to also have some investments into tax free bonds. Also, to the one who would put 10% down on a house, remember that when you're in much higher brackets, you may possibly not be able to deduct the mortgage interest or property taxes on your tax return. Something to ponder. I have several clients who can't take those deductions. If you have the cash to pay cash for the house, could be the way to go. Doesn't fit for everybody.
Charitable Giving - those who want to give to their church - yes, you're correct. Give the actual Dinar, don't cash it in first. You then get a deduction for the current value of the Dinar you gave and they don't have to pay any taxes on it. A great way to go.
Annuities - you bet - we're going to set up Retirement Annuities for some family members. Just worry about the gifting tax rules. But, as the rules are now, can give up to $1mil usd in a lifetime to someone. That should work.
So, wanted to put my two cents in on this great thread. Lots of really fun and imaginative ideas. Hope we all reach our dreams.
:ro_emote: Thank you. Sure would like to retain your services when the RV happens. That was so commendable of you to share this info--esp. church donations. Fantastic.

Understand that when this thing hits the fan, I will be retiring along with many of you. I've worked 50 years and think that's just plenty. I won't be giving advice, but I would recommend people who do give advice and services you can trust. That's the best I can do. Thank you for asking though.
