Wachovia - will they exchange Dinar?
I know there's a previous thread regarding Wachovia, but I wanted to get your attention so you Wachovia customers (and non-customers) will know.
I just got off the phone with them. They told me that if you are a customer, there is no charge to exchange Dinar. They will just credit your account. The cost is only a $15.00 transaction fee.
Wachovia will not exchange for non-customers at all.
I asked if they know if currencies are going to revalue before it takes place. She told me sometimes they know, and sometimes not. She directed me to Bloomberg.com (which I believe we already know about here).
I guess it would pay to be a Wachovia customer at the time of the reval - whenever that might be.
NENO, if you're reading these, I know you said you are a Wachovia customer and you were wondering if my statement about their exchange policy was true. I called them again and the above was their response. So, I've had 2 Wachovia employees tell me the same thing. They DO indeed do foreign currency exhanges and they DO exchange dinar - but you have to be a customer.
Anyway, just wanted to pass that along. Thanks!!
Yes they do the Exchange....
But here where I am at, and I am in a Big Area. The Wachovia Branches do all their currency buisness for their customers thru Thomas Cook. Now Thomas Cooks rate exchange is on top of that $15 transaction that Wachovia charges their customers to go thru Thomas Cook. I never meant they want get it done for you. Just remember this when you go thru the Transaction. Make sure you know what Thomas Cook exchange rate will be for Wachovia. Thomas Cook actually services many Banks. Other members here have said that they supply a Bank in Canada as well.
