it's funny because some of us that know better than to believe everything we read called banks to find the truth

here is what some of these banks have said:

"we don't deal in dinar" (the majority US banks right now)

"yes, we will exchange your dinar. all you need is to open a free account" (from a bank 5 minutes from where I live)

"we aren't exchaning right now because it is going to revalue soon but when it revalues, then we will exchange both ways" (my favorite answer)

"we will exchange but right now we are only buying because we are out of dinar"

"not right now, but soon." (a growing # of banks)

oops, yep you're right.

if you need to remove some of my remarks on post #7, I won't get offended at all. wasn't my intent to offend anyone, but more along the lines of trying to keep people from losing money on these get rich quick scams.... the older ones that never go away, as well as the new ones that are popping up everywhere.

Bank employees always confused what to say and if the stuff other members told is the truth, then a rv should take place in a month or so. Well let's just hope it does until summer pops open!

I had heard monday after the ICI meeting and I have also heard today that it will be June. It will RV when it RV's. My Dinar is in a safe deposit box and both did not cost me anything. So I can wait, but I would prefer, as I know you all would, MONDAY! I still feel awful good about the "MISTAKE" that CBI made last monday. Surely a sign of good things to come for all of us.

When I bought my Dinar 2 years ago I thought I was going to Get Rich Quick. Now 2 years later I see nothing that makes me think this is ready to pop in the next 6 months. If nothing happens in May I believe we are in for a long slow ride. But if you really look at this logically lets say it takes 2 more years to get to a penny, I guess it would still be a great return. Just not the millions I expected. The truth is that Iraq is a war torn third world country. It's leaders seem to care about nothing but themselves. But I guess after 20 years under a madman we would be that way too. Put your dinar in a safe place and go buy some dong. I think something will happen there long before the dinar does anything.

just a few things....

1st of all, if you agree with the "no reval statement", then say 100 to 1....

100 to 1 would be a reval.... even if it did take 10 years.

reval does not mean "instant" it can happen over time.... (like it has been steadily doing for about 9 months now)

2nd:

Iraq being granted money has absolutely zero to do with when they choose to revalue their currency. Do big businesses stop taking out loans because they are making money? Would CBI turn down any new grants if they were getting ready to reval? Hell no. In fact, if anything else, receiving that money would speed up a reval.

Let try common sense.....if CBI found out they were being granted a large sum of money, they would hold off on that reval until after they received it. Why?

CBI:
"did it hit our bank? It's cleared? Good. NOW we can reval and oh yeah, thanks for that grant money we just turned into a HUGE PROFIT by raising our exchange rate." Add it to what they already have. Mission complete. Now we have enough to be stable.

I agree with you though that no one knows when its gonna happen.

10 years is way off.

2 years is not so way off, but still not likely

within 1 year maybe...

the thing is, what are they going to do with the grant money?

would it be more beneficial to wait another 6 months to a year so its all gone and pray for more grants?

Makes more sense to revalue it before they just waste it.

Get the most they can out of it. Makes way more sense.

So if anything, that new money if it has anything to do with the reval....

just made the need to reval ASAP that much more urgent

If we see Iraq getting a ton of money, then we know it will probably happen sooner than later.

We've already had a small RV of around 15%.....so we're all just hangin' round' for the big one to pop! Soon I hope....my new boat needs some gas and I need to restock my Jim Beam cabinet!

Me thinks me should prepare the shortest route to the bank. Peoples get ready....keep the faith and relax and let it happen. Frustration eats at you, relaxation feeds you. Just know that you know it is happening soon.
