As we see in the news Sunnis and Al Qaeda are fighting now. Could this be just another stage in the Game of Terrorism? I guess we will see. Ill let you guys draw a conclusion. I just thought I might throw this idea out there. It might have to do a lot more with this investment then we think.
Terrorism has been around forever, and will never go away. It has been committed throughout the ages by pretty much every country, even us. It has been evolving ever since. Sunnis fighting Al Quacky will have a positive effect, if any at all on our investment and the more Iraqi's fight back, the better for them as a whole and that is a significant step toward security.

They have the ability to quell terrorism in Baghdad a great deal, but will never be able to stop it completely.

No army can do this. Our army will "win the war on terrorism" but only because GW is going to claim victory after the pull out. The terrorists will say they "won the war" because GW pulled the troops out. In fact one of them is already saying that, only using it in a context that suggests we are at war with Iraq and Iraq won because of the future pullout.

No one is going to win because it is not possible. It will still exist and operate in a hell of a lot more places than Iraq, including in Iraq.

Will Iraq protect itself after the army leaves? Hell no, but Shadow companies will quell the remaining terrorists after the army is gone. That # of mercs is increasing and will be HUGE when the army leaves and guess what? They don't have to play by the same rules as our army is forced to live by. Al Quacky will still try and disrupt things after our army leaves but they will get pounded every time by mercs, kurds, and anyone else that has the means to protect themselves and all of the terrorist deaths will mean nothing, and will accomplish nothing, just like any suicide bomber.

If it can be said that our army won because they did a kick ass job defending Iraq, and completely mauling Al Quacky every time they met.... and as a result, terrorism in Iraq has been greatly reduced..... and will stay that way because the shadow companies are going to make sure it stays that way at least until Iraq can finally defend itself against Al Quacky....

Then that would be considered a victory..."a major victory in the war on terror" would work. But should not be considered the end of the "war on terror." People have been fighting (our country and several others) "the war on terror" for centuries now and always will.

Quell it and keep it from taking over is all anyone can really do.
