Well if Sunday comes and goes we can put a lot of credibility to bed.
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

ya know if your Iraq, and your money is worth squat, your going thru all the hassle of reval (getting this signed, and that signed, going to this meeting, and that meeting) why not make all the trouble worth it? I say jump yourselves up to about $4.75 or $5.00. why not, make Jordan, and Kuwait and all your nieghbors scramble to catch up to you.
i believe i speak for the rest of us when i say go ahead! you deserve it!

That's for sure - rumors have been bigger than the news lately...
A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, "Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face... then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?"
A little fellow shouted, "Cause your feet ain't empty."

Can't by IMF Regulations that will not allow a country to price their currency far below or above the average rates of the surrounding countries - as to go in too low creates an unstable situation, that might lead to the collapse of Poor Little Jordan's economy as they just raised their rate by six cents to over $1.40/Dinar and could be seen as economic warefair by neighboring countries...it was all posted here a week or so ago...

the low exchange rate and stability today is expected to continue until the middle of next week at least, which invites investors and speculators to deal more freely.

This is from the CBI site and posted in think tank. Guess they are p & D too, huh.

Well the CBI statement is not saying for sure, 'it's reval time folks'. They would never spell out their intentions and spark a mass buy up of dinar. Like the Chinese government when they dismissed a float of the Yuan 2 days before they actually did float it almost 2 years ago.

Let's see what happens with this rumour. My point, and others is that credibility damage will be done if it doesn't come off, moreso considering the confidence involved here.

if your speaking of neno's credibility, i dont think it will take a hit.. he stated very clearly that it was not his usual source, and that he hesitated posting it until he recieved confirmation, or denial, from his "friend"..
