The rate of 1272 kept until next Thursday is not a joke/rumor. I know it is on the CBI site and I knew it when I posted. I was just pissed off with the other dates.

Delay!? Its been delayed for months!

was'nt something significant, going to happen today, in iraq, regarding all of this. maybe not maybe thats tomorrow im thinking of.

It's going to be okay. Doc Dave...I'm sure you don't need to hear this from me, but perhaps it is as Danny has said--the powers that be HAVE indeed set the rate and the date, which would validate your Word...in which case we are simply waiting around for them to actually put put their plans into action.

Lets think about this a minute...How long were we hearing about the FIL (that would be the infamous Foreign Investment Law for all you newbies)...first they had all the readings before parliament...then they approved it. Then they passed it (insert joke here), then they ratified it, then they enacted it, then they implemented it...this process started in what, July, August of last year?? I THINK the FIL is enacted, I've seen articles on different contracts with various foreign companies being signed, and the ISX is allegedly open to foreign investment (remember that article that laid out the requirements?) But we're not exactly sure are we?

My point is this: They have said that the FIL is enacted, but instead of making a grand announcement, it was (seemed to me) a small headline followed by articles that announced deals with various foreign contracts for various jobs.

It is indeed very possible that as Danny says the RV has been been set, but like all things Iraqi, it will just take a while for it to show up. It seems that they may be procrastinators extrordinaire...they only do things when they absolutely have to...being forced into something allows them to ditch responsability for any negative outcomes...

I believe that it has been done, and that in the very near future we will all be rich. I have no inside info, I'm not one of the forum gurus...I just know that I am far happier this way, not worrying, just wondering if today is the day I get to start enjoying my riches...
