I can't verify or not but it makes sense. I mean, it seems like the word is out. The gov & cbi have been dropping hints (not all so subtle either) about bringing the rate back to previous levels so... i'd be sitting at home waiting too. Wait, i am sitting at home waiting too.

Anyhow, if it's true that the locals are hanging onto their money, we must be close!

Here is some wishful thinking , but hey, this is what we have to go by so far:

There was SOMETHING announced on TV and Radio yesterday that made the iraqis hug each other and say " This is a big day for us!" ...I checked the press to see if there was some football game or something...but I couldn't find anything LOL

Now, the guy goes to the market and there is no one spending dinars /money....

Then the same rumour says " by the end of the next weekend" , which could be interpreted as this weekend too...just a matter of how you look at it...

So, I am starving, but I am not spending my money because of something that I have heard on TV ...because I could spend less tomorrow or the day after tomorrow...

To me it smells definately as rv. If both rumors have legs...

I'm sure that you are right, and let's pray that it is so! We must also consider that the marketplace is a pretty good place to get blown to kindom come.

...but have we noticed that the bombing are moving away from the center of the city and hitting any target of opportunity they can? The security forces are steadily moving through and finding caches and defeating the enemy. This is all very significate, and I think it's just awaiting game now.
