Naysayer Thread

Personally I think the rumors are great, especially from people that actually have contacts in Iraq. And even more so when there are more than one person that are hearing the same things from their contacts as well.

But, most importantly, I am here to learn from others about this investment that I found myself involved in. I really enjoy reading the articles each day, and lately I must say that the articles just keep getting better and better!

I don't mind reading someones point of view that doesn't believe what they are reading is true, but it would be nice if they would back up their views with another article or reason why it can't or won't work that way.

I know their are a lot of greatful people here on RC and I can see which ones are actually here to learn and help put the pieces together by just looking at the amount of times they have thanked others for posts that they have made or articles that they have brought to the forums attention.

Lately there have been quit a few that only use the "thanks" button when someone is bashing someone or making a joke about someone and I wonder if they are even reading all the great posts that really matter at all, kind of sad really.

The latest romur is that the RV amount has already been set by the big boys in Iraq, it was never said that the RV had already taken place, so when they believe that the time is right they know exactly the amount they are going to raise the dinar to and then they will let the world know that it has been done.

Does anyone know of an article that says this is simply not true? I haven't seen one yet and most likely won't, but if you can find one then please post it in the "news" section and I will be glad to hit the "thanks" button for your efforts.

What you say is true, Lew, I agree with you too. My main interest in reading this thread was to get feedback from those who are "naysayers". Well I'm three pages in and the discussion is about personalities and bashing. I understand the bashing that goes on, even if I feel it is a waste of time and needless. It clutters up the discussion (as proved here in this thread thus far). The bashers are merely frustrated because the IQD has not "hit" the yaysayer (rumours) yet and have been wrong for over 4 years now. I take a middle of the road approach and these small pip increases we do see in IQD value are GREAT news of what is to be upcoming. Security is the key at this point. Once the nation has relative security is when we will see the largest gains on our investment. Everything else is ready for "GO" at this stage. The last hangup on this investment is the security situation.

I'll read in a few more pages on this thread but I do not feel confident the subject headline will be discussed. I'd love to see the naysayers list 10 reasons the IQD won't appreciate to significantly higher levels.

realist or naysayer almost all the same. I feel now as i did when i first bought my Dinar. If it happens in the spring I will be happy ,and if it happens in the summer I will be warmly happy. If it happens in the fall I will be elated . if it happens in the winter I will be warmmed with joy. If it HAPPENS be for I Die I will celebrate for the rest of my life. LORD please Let it happen!

You and everyone else is entitled to your opinion and should feely express it. But I do disagree with you that "realists" are the same as "naysayers". I have a clear defining line between all the various opinions about this investments. To me a "yaysayer" is someone that believes in a very high (example: 1:1 re-val) re-val in a move done overnight by the CBI. They believe the IQD investment will pay out astronomical amounts of returns but in an overnight manner. "Naysayers" are those that believe Iraq will fail and thus will the IQD. Or they believe the IQD won't ever be higher than around a 1000 IQD to 1 USD mark. Or they believe a 10 year timeline for decent returns on IQD investment. "Realists" are what I would term "middlesayers". They are closer to the "yaysayer" line of thinking than the "naysayers" line. We (because I include myself in the "middlesayer" category) believe the IQD can achieve "Microsoft" type returns on investments in a short period of time (6 months to a year or slightly more depending on the security situation outcome). Instead of the 1:1 levels, we believe the penny, nickel, dime areas are the target rates for Iraq. Our levels make many of us millionares and bring 1329% to potentially 38,471% type returns. So far the "middlesayer" theory is the only one currently being used by the CBI.
