    Default Naysayer Thread

I thought we could open up the Naysayer Thread again. That way all the Naysayers could have a proper place to post and discuss rumors and speculations in their "realist" sort of way. This way they can have their own place, kind of an exclusive club if you will. I believe this was tried once, but faded out due lack of participation. So if all you realists want this to work you have got to participate in it.
Go ahead and give it a try and if we want your opinion we know where to look for it.

The forum threads are a platform for PRO and CON discussions so it would be good to keep the two together. Of course, we can do without the venemous insults and foul language.

I'm all for pro and con discussion, but having a dicussion in a mature adult manner shouldn't have to include nasty, barbarous, negative attacking comments. I was just merely suggesting a playground for the children.

Damned if we do; damned if we don't! There's just no pleasing some people. It's almost as if being polite and nice is a catalyst for their anger. Or are they resentful for being categorized? I don't mind "the heat" it's the sarcasm, bitterness, rudeness and resentment that put me off. And is the above not hypocritical? Does pan8tive not have a right to their opinion? Or was it because the post was polite?

the more i come into this forum, the more i see happening to this forum the same thing that happened with PIPS if you disagreed with the mods or with what Bryan was supposedly saying.....the so called naysayers could not even disagree with that was being said or they were bashed.....but,lets look back on that fiasco....maybe the naysayers knew what they were talking about...now i bought dinars...way back...when Mike[osw] and Adam[adster] were telling everybody about them...then that other forum found out about rolclub and pretty soon we had everybody posting about the dinar....and some even had RUMORS....well...not one rumor has panned out yet......we all have seen how slow these Iraqi people and their government is.....but the point i'm making is these RUMOR mongers who want everybody to BELIEVE them when they PREDICT a rumor better have thick skins when their RUMOR does'nt pan out.....a forum is supposed to be for discussions....not necessarily all for the pros or all for the nays...but the more this forum goes its losing its personality...i don't even see the DINAR GALS around too much anymore...ADSTER was banned...i;'m still trying to understand what for....looking more and more like a PIPS forum with Bryan Marsden running the show....IN MY OPINION....Pat

Unfortunately, the nature of anonymous posting makes anything remotely resembling "mature" an impossibility unless the mods clean house of those who use filthy language and barbarous nasty comments.

No hypocrisy there...just way too much thin skin in the forums...

Ok, I will say this to all keep this area clean, there will be "no" bashing at all I am not going to sit with you all and police this area. Some of us mods are trying but it is hard when we do also have a family and jobs also. So stay away from snide remarks. SO KEEP IT NICE!!!

This is a suprise, a thread started to shove all the people who debate rumours and such (in a polite manner).

I agree that rude and offensive comments are unaccebtable, but alot of members are bashed for expressing thier opinion, due to it going against the majority. You want to talk about hypocrisy. . . go read some of the replies from self proclaimed "polite, rule obiding yeasayers" to civilised debate.

    Good point,

Sadly, most forums allow totally annonymous members, and personally, I think this should change. I would prefer that people must identify themselves if they want to post, as in real names, addresses etc. which would end the cheap shots and insults from some here. Personally, I have always used my real name and information and I have formed some very tight bonds with people because of it, even within the PIPS fiasco, I value friends more than foes. (g)

No doubt most will not agree with this, but for those who have been online for years like I have, some of my best friendships were created through the internet, so I know it can work. Respect is difficult to maintain when you are annonymous in a forum, so as was pointed out by danny51, this is to be expected when no one knows who we are debating or discussing issues with. Perhaps a thread for only those who identify themselves would be an option to consider. I know I am getting tired of these bashing posts, and I am sure I am not alone.

    Good luck to all, MIke
