Our grandson just asked me for another thing that you break open that he had this morning and I am out. Then I read all this. Here is too a great rest of the week. Hi' Can Anyone Help With The Dinar. Where Can I Exchange ??? When .?????????
Not When. But Where. Every Bank I Have Call Say No. Help.
I was under the impression that exchange could be made at any large bank that would be used to foreign currency. That was what I was told. Smaller banks would have to send out for verification before cashing it for you.
This could really be it!!!!!!!!
SGS has gone out on a limb before and she's been harshly criticized when her predictions haven't come to pass.
She won't risk being wrong again! She will have checked and 'double checked' her sources so as not to be caught looking foolish. You know the old saying, 'Fool me once... shame on you - fool me twice... shame on me!'
We MUST assume that this is a 'ROCK SOLID' lead!!!!!!!!!
well this sucks .....i already have 2 business that i run and i have cut back on the spending already due to the fact its been well over a year since i bought dinar ( patting myself on the back ! )
I wanna new birthdate !

While you may be earning more than ever, you're spending more, too, and you can count on some unforeseen expenses, so set up a rainy day fund. When you're out shopping, be selective about what you allow yourself to indulge in. You'll need to make a budget and stick to it. Starting your own business may be an option later this year.
Now if you live with SGS as i do .... things look a bit better

Financially, 2007 should be one of the best years you've had in more than a decade. With Jupiter in your earned income zone, you have the potential to expand your earnings more than any other sign. The problem for you is that you can fall into the fear trap and worry that you'll lose it all. Work to stay positive, and watch your money multiply.
I for one want to thank SGS for sticking her neck out once again and relaying info that she recieved about the dinar and rv.
THANK YOU SUSIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
woooooooooooot
It wouldn't surprise me!
Everything is pointing to it!
Most of all the 2 million poor families that are going to be helped starting from monday where they can pick up money in the postal offices.
It will be a shame and an insult if it were a few bucks!
To me a RV is coming and it must be before the 15th!
WWWWWEEEEAAAAHHHH!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Richard, I want you to take maximum advantage of the luck coming your way this week. From my calculations, Friday is going to be your lucky day for this period.
Be There Baby.................
I heard last night from a friend of mine who knows someone whose father is in Iraq and he told her that one dinar would be equal to one dollar very soon. :ro_emote:
I figured I would post this now that Susie has posted her news. We don't get news very often from this contact, so I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that we're almost there!:woohoo:
Been lurking on this site for a number of months now and have utmost confidence in SGS to bring us all up to date with the news of the day. SGS keep up the good work. Thanks for all you do. BTW where is WmKnowles... sure would be nice for to hear from him.
OH WILL YA JUST STOP AND THINK :fryingpan :fryingpan
WHO WANTS THE BIG BANG!!!
BUSH ON HIS SPEACH
OR
PM ON HIS ANNOUNCEMENT
GEE THINK ABOUT IT - WHICH ON OF THESE EGO MINDS WANTS TO LOOK BETTER TO THE WORLD THEN THE OTHER??? DUH PM WANTS THAT BANG! HOW CAN HE GET THAT BANG IN FRONT OF THE WORLD?
RV!!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to thank SGS also. I love that she doesn't mind sharing what she hears from her sources. Keeps the moral high! Some like to come and bash when the info doesn't come through, but they have to realize it's Iraq and things change daily....like embargos that no one predicted.
THANKS SUSIE!!!!
I would really like to have a few shots of tequilla with you when we all go to the Caymans for our celebration for the Iraqi's.
Well in MHO it would just make sence that Iraq would RV and the pm would anounce it and then when Bush delivers his speach it won't just be lip service but actual progress to show the American people / voters that things really are progressing this would give him much needed support to finish the job but it's just MHO.
Or is it a possibility that the PM's announcement could be with all the major laws being enacted with no mention of the RV only to have it go silently?
I wish you were right but I doubt very much that it will go down that way. Sure would be nice if it did thought, I would be wrong and very happy about it.
you misquoted our ever-the-eloquent commander-in-chief. what he really said was, "There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." —President George W. Bush

Iraq's economic strides
Iraq's economic strides09/01/2007
Did you know that Iraqi real-estate prices have gone up several hundred percent since the fall of Saddam Hussein?
That Iraqi workers' salaries have increased more than 100 percent in that time?
That the number of cars in violence-torn Baghdad has grown by 500 percent in the same period?
That the Iraqi construction, retail and wholesale trade sectors are all growing at a healthy pace?
Chances are that you are astonished by these facts. I certainly was when I read them in an article by Silvia Spring in the end-of-the-year edition of Newsweek International.
The piece is titled "Iraq's Economy is Booming"[and it's a revelation. It goes on to mention that the number of registered businesses has increased from 8,000 to 34,000 in three years; that the number of cell phone subscribers has increased from 1.4 million to 7.1 million; that the stores are stocked with goods, and that consumers are buying them; that taxes have been cut, government revenues are up and that oil revenues and foreign grants are estimated at $41 billion for the year just ended.
Moreover, "Iraq's official economic institutions are making progress," the Kurdish region in the north is booming and with the oil fields in the south increasingly secure, oil production revenues are projected to grow substantially. The Global Insight firm, which tracks international economic activity, estimates Iraq's GDP growth at 17 percent for 2005 and projected 13 percent for 2006. The World Bank's estimate is lower (four percent for 2006), but the fact that there is any economic growth at all in Iraq will come as a shock to most people.
The article does not gloss over the country's many problems-- the raging sectarian violence foremost among them. Unemployment is estimated at a minimum of 30 percent, but even here there is a silver lining as foreign investment from neighboring countries is pouring into Iraq because of cheap labor. The author notes that "there is a vibrancy at the grassroots that is invisible in most international coverage of Iraq."
You can say that again.
It is understandable (if deplorable) that the "mainstream" media (with the honorable exception of Newsweek International) would be unaware of these facts or uninterested in publicizing them.
But what about the Bush administration? Why has the Bush team not put on a full-court press to inform the public about these signs of progress in Iraq?
The American people are, understandably, demoralized by three and a half years of largely negative media coverage of Iraq. Most do not want a pullout from Iraq, however; they want victory.

now would be a good time for RR or OSW to contact their Kurd contacts for corroboration.... P-p-p-p-please!
What if you can watch the arabic television....Who can understand it? I need a translated version.
I can really appreciate this comment Archangel. If, for whatever reason, this rumor falls thru, it doesn't mean it was not credible or factually based. I truly believe a reval was planned, at least once, in the past, and was postponed for their own reasons. There is no way, they meant to keep this currency at this rate, for such a long period of time. One thing that took MUCH longer than anticipated was the debt forgiveness, which certainly affects a reval and all other economic decisions.
Some feel that there is no way, news of an impending reval would be leaked to the public. (The news over the last 30 days has clearly stated a reval....just not how much). In Iraq's case, I can see two MAJOR reasons why a leak of a reval would be approved:
1) The extremely high exchange rate, grossly affects the abilities of the local businesses. Iraq is a net importer, to an extreme extent. Most all ingredients, parts, components, etc. that a merchant would need to sell their goods are imported and therefore affected by the high exchange rate. If I were a merchant who recently imported a large amount of goods, only to have a reval the next day, I would be furious.
2) Individuals and businesses that have managed to save money and kept or converted the savings to USD. There would be a MAJOR rebellion if the CBI suddenly revalued the IQD without giving the higher net worth people a chance to convert their USD to IQD. Not allowing this courtesy to the poor would be even worse.
There has been a well organized effort to imply that a reval is coming over the last 30 days or so, through all Iraqi media outlets. The news over the last two days is as strong as you can get, without stating a time and amount. Iraq HAD to leak out news of an impending reval for the above reasons, just to name two.
I bet Susie's rumor is not as much a rumor. The question is.....Will Iraq execute the plan at THIS time, as is planned, OR, will they postpone it again???
....Sorry Archangel, for highjacking your post.
