    Smile Re: SilverstreakO Rumor

Hi Friends! Let me try to give a clearer explanation of this rumor. (I am silverstreakO's father-in-law.) O 's nephew, J, is a student at a well known university in Pittsburgh, PA. I should have spoken to him before typing this- but I'm too impatient. J is studying to obtain a position in the securities / investment field; I forgot what his major is. Over a year ago he took a class taught by a professor who works for one of the biggest investment firms in the US, helping, I believe, to develop the company's foreign investment portfolios. He is quite well off financially but has a passion to teach, which he does part time at the University. J is a well mannered, rather quiet young man. The professor took J "under his wing" so-to-speak, staying in contact after the course was completed and discussed with him some excellent choices for J to invest in while developing his personal portfolio. I only know the specifics of 2 of the recommendations: the one being the oil company from, I believe Canada (CHK), the other, the Iraqi Dinar! J got the CHK stock when it was very low and last I knew it was over $30 a share- but that was back in May or so.

Now, about the IQD. I told my daughter and O about the dinar I was buying back in March, I believe. I was surprised that O knew about it already (back then I didn't know that it was selling on eBay and O did a lot of business there). He wasn't watching it like I had been and was very surprised when he found out it was selling so high. He started checking into it and shortly thereafter discovered that the professor had told J to buy as much dinar as he could afford and hang on to it. This excited O and me, to have someone with his credentials recommending the dinar! This was back in the days when OSW Mike and Adam Adster were the big guns on the forum. Many people were speculating that the dinar would Revalue at 5, 10 maybe 20 CENTS. When Mike started talking 31- 41 cents many wondered how it could be that high? I sent J a message to ask the professor his thoughts on the amount and when. J replied after talking to the professor that he wasn't sure when but to be patient (lol, where have I heard THAT before???), and that the Reval would be MUCH higher, around a dollar! We were shocked so I asked J to find out if the professor had any special contacts anywhere so as to find out why he had such strong feelings about the dinar. J later replied that the professor told him that the statements were based on PRIOR EXPERIENCE and his "understanding of how these things work".

Well, to be honest, that reply was quite a let down. I had hoped for something more substantial, something like a Dr. Quadorri (SP) from FreeD type of "insider", as J had told us that the professor had just been to the Middle East during their Spring Break. With all the talent here at ROL, lately I had pushed back much thought of the professor being able to supply any new info on the development of the Reval. All of this long story is the background bringing us to Sunday the 19th of November. J, home for Thanksgiving break, is talking to Uncle O over the phone. Of course the dinar is brought up for discussion and J informs O that the professor told him before leaving campus, to get ready to cash in SOME of his dinar around the 12-14th of December, at a rate around $1.47, but don't cash it all in at that time. It was at this point in the conversation that J revealed that the professor has contacts over there. J said he didn't want people to know because, well, we all know what happens. J would absolutely die if he were to betray his friend and mentor.

As O said, the professor has been spot on regarding other stock investments, and has never before offered a date to look toward for the Reval. This is why O, J and I are rather pumped at this point. Hope this helps! SilverstreakO, any comments you want to make, add? Any corrections to what I said?
    Blessings On YOU!!! AL

    Cool

Sounds good to me. I of course am not going to know how to act after this 3 year ride, but I am certainly looking forward to the feelings. I appreciate your comments also.

Well thanks for the additional info. With the way it was first reported by O, I didn't give it much credibility. With your further explaination and filling in some more details, I am encouraged. Thanks for the additional info.
