When you exchange with the Foreign Currency Teller make sure you ask what the exchange rate is and if that is the best rate available. If you agree on an exchange rate, make sure that you "Lock in" that rate. Then you won't be surprised when the rate suddenly changes in the banks favor 3 days later. Best to get a piece of paper from the teller stating the "locked-in rate" before they send your money on its way. Also check to see if there are any "hidden fees" (shipping & handling, broker commission, etc). Banks, brokers can rip you off in many ways, so cover all the bases before you give them the currency.. JMHO!

I hate to disagree with you on this. But I have to. I talked to a lady at B of A and she finally admitted that they have a difference in what the Forex says the price is for the day and what they will pay. She said that they did not call it a exchange rate though. I call it a exchange rate though.
