May The Love, The Peace, and The Joy of Christ Jesus
Fill Every Heart, Every Mind, and Every Soul. Amen
"One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock." Psalm 27:4-5
Father, this is my desire. I love you so much and look forward to the day that I will be with You as all tears will be wiped away, there will be no more sickenss. I praise You Lord! Thank You for loving me. Help me to stand on Your Word, help me to be still and know You are God, help me to abide in You, help me Lord. I am lost without You. Thank You for choosing me! Father, bless my friends around the world, give them peace, give them joy, give them love and give them hope. Holy Spirit continue to knock on the door of the hearts of those who do not know Jesus. Thank You Lord for hearing my prayer and my praises! In Jesus Name...Amen and Amen
Slow Down, You'll Last Longer!!
The Lord is faithful, who will...guard you from...evil.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 NKJV
A farmer and his son were travelling to the city to sell their produce. The dad relaxed while his son goaded the ox to go faster. When they passed a friend's house the older man insisted they stop and visit. Later, back on the road, he took the slow, scenic route. At dusk he stopped for the night. Frustrated and angry his son said, "You're more interested in sunsets and flowers than making money!" "That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me," replied his father. Next morning as they travelled, a blinding flash split the clouds, followed by a low rumble, then the sky grew black. "If we'd hurried we'd have missed this storm," grumbled the boy. "Slow down, son, you'll last longer," his dad replied. By late afternoon they reached a hill overlooking the city. After staring down at ! it for what seemed like an eternity, the boy finally turned and said, "I see what you mean, Dad." Slowly they turned around and rolled away from what remained of the city of - Hiroshima!
The Bible says, "The Lord is faithful, who will...guard you from...evil." You don't know what you're being protected from, but God does. The Bible says, "He...saves your life" every day ( Psalm 103:4 TM). Your "steps [and stops]...are directed by" Him ( Psalm 37:23). He knows what's round the next corner. That irritating traffic jam, that unexpected phone call were all part of His plan for you. So learn to trust Him more, complain less, worry less, and rush less! Okay?

I have permission to share from this site from Bob Gass himself to bless others...this is truly a word for today in all our busyness! You never may know why you get stuck behind a slow car, get held up in a grocery line, get held up in a traffic jam, get out of the office later than you expected to and on and on it goes. I know several times I was held up like that ( and I was frustrated) only to find out that a deadly crash happened just minutes before. I'm learning to say okay Lord, this must be You and You have a very good reason for this. Slow down...there is a purpose in everything that happens though we may not understand at that exact moment...but God does because He loves us so much.
++++++++++++++++++++
Lord, slow us down in our busyness. Be the author of our day and help us to know and understand that You have all things under control. We are just a wisp, a blade of grass on this earth...help us to use our time wisely and carefully. Give us the mindset when stuck in lines to put our mind upon You and to thank You for working on our behalf in that moment keeping out of harms way. It's amazing to think what a few moments delay might mean...maybe the difference between life and death. Thank You Lord that you have every step in our walk planned. You are an awesome Father who just wants what is best for us. May we remember You in our busyness always and in the traffic jams of life. We bless You Lord and give You all the praise that You are so totally worthy of. Thank You for not hesitating to go to the cross on our behalf, for not giving in to the temptations of the enemy during your 40 days in the wilderness, thank You for not asking the Lord to take this cup from You but instead saying "Not my will, but Yours." Wow! Where would we be if You had changed Your mind and figured us for hopeless? O God You are so worthy of praise and glory and honor and blessings. We love You Lord! Bless our families, our friends, those that we know and those that we will come to know in the future and keep them safe but most of all, bring each of them to a saving knowledge of You O Lord. Thank You for hearing my prayer Lord. In Jesus Name I pray! Amen and Amen.
I needed to hear that. With all the things in this life that just keep you going and going and going. I think I am ready to just take it slower now. I believe all things happen for a reason. I am a christian and saw the mark from your thread. It caused me to just look in. Glad I did.
I believe also in prayer and no fear. Reading your last post just made me realize that I am moving to fast again. So thank you for the sign, I will comprehend it. God Bless You and the World.
Praise the Lord, Neno! :woohoo: I had a feeling it wasn't just for me! May He bless you with a time of slowing down to get your bearings while waiting upon and resting in Him.
There were many reasons why I felt led to do this thread...the biggest was prayer but I also felt encouragement was going to be part of it. Be encouraged today that the Lord knows exactly what you need and when and it's amazing how He uses people unbeknownst to them to get His message out. Yesterday as I posted, a fleeting thought made me think that someone needed to hear this besides me. I'm glad I listened to His prompting. He gets all the glory. Thank You Lord! Bless Your child Nemo!!!
I needed to here it.
And I believe there are plenty
more that need to too.
Amen Neno...I hope you were blessed.

A Conviction And A Hope
The Lord is close to everyone who prays.
Psalm 145:18 NCV
God's help is always available, but it's given only to those who seek Him. Nothing results from apathy. God honours radical, risk-taking faith. When arks are built, lives are saved. When armies march, walls tumble. When a lunch is shared, thousands are fed. And when His garment is touched, whether by the hand of a diseased woman in Galilee, or your hand - Jesus stops. He always responds to faith. Listen: "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace" ( Mark 5:34 NKJV).
Maybe all you have today is a conviction and a hope. You feel like you've nothing to give - you're hurting and all you have to offer Jesus is your pain. Perhaps your past has kept you from coming to Him; you've taken a step in His direction, then you saw all the other people around Him. They seemed so "together," so much better than you. And when you saw them they blocked your view of Him so you stepped back. If that describes you, notice something interesting: one of the only two people Jesus ever commended for having faith wasn't a wealthy giver, a loyal follower or an acclaimed teacher. No, it was a shame-struck, penniless outcast who'd been haemorrhaging for 12 years, who clung to her conviction that He could and her hope that He would. Which, by the way, is a good place to start and a good definition of faith - a conviction that God can, and a hope that He will!

Lord, give us that conviction that "You can" and that hope that "You will." Because Lord, I know You already have! Father, let us persist through the crowds like the woman with the issue of blood. Let us not give up until we touch the hem of Your garment. Lord, we alone are not worthy...but in You we are! Help us to see that! I love You Lord so much, continue to fill me with love for others that I may pour it out for You. Help me never to give up hope! You are so worthy of praise, glory and honor Lord! Without You I am nothing, with You I am everything. Thank You Lord for dying for me on that cross, thank You for taking all my iniquities, all my illnesses, all my faults, all my fear, all my shame, my everything upon your shoulders. I ask this in Jesus name not only for myself but for my friends around the world. Amen and Amen.

The need for Christ
Jesus knew that everything was now finished, and to fulfill the Scriptures he said, "I am thirsty."
John 19:28 NLT
I have a great need for Christ, I have a great Christ for my need.
Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892)
I'm thirsty
One of the women who lingered at the foot of the cross had once known thirst that ordinary water couldn't quench. She had been an outcast among her peers.…She had a great need, and nothing could fill the emptiness, the void within her. Then came the day when she met Jesus. Although her accusers had already given up on her and would readily have stoned her, Jesus saw her need, and rather than give up on her, he faced her accusers and saved not only her life but her soul as well. From that moment forward, Mary Magdalene was a devoted disciple of Christ, following him even to the foot of a brutal cross. When Jesus cried out in thirst, the soldiers mistook it for weakness of the flesh and thrust sour wine to his lips. What they didn't comprehend is that Jesus' words were a declaration of his completion of his Father's work. He was thirsty because he was being poured out as an offering, not only for the grateful woman who knelt at this feet but also for generations of people to come.
JESUS, you poured out your life like an offering and gave me living water that saved and restores my soul. Help me to take that same living water and extend it to those around me who are thirsty. Please use me to reach out to the abandoned, the scorned, the unlovable, with your sacrificial love.
It is His love for me that sustains me.
It is my love for Him that drives me. sm
Amen, Second Mouse! We definitely need to remember and be thankful everyday for what He did for us at the Cross.
