The prayer is: “Before this time tomorrow, your helpers all over the world will locate you and help you.”

This kind of prayer is damaging the society. Only thieves would want to get something they don’t work or labor for.

This is the kind of mindset that many pastors instil into people today. It has led to corruption, dishonesty, Yahoo Yahoo, laziness, greed, selfishness, deceit, looking for short-cut to wealth, betrayals of trust, etc. all in the name of blessings. This is ruining our society, as more and more people expect to be helped, or given something for doing nothing.

A helper that wants to give you money or material things for doing nothing would mostly be a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Many people, including majority of Christians (I’m also a Christian) now think you just have to work and give the money to them. And whenever they have opportunities, they do all sorts things that are even unscriptural, to get the money.

We should be careful with this kind of prayers. It sounds attractive, but that is the kinda mindset that evil people take advantage of before they catch their victims.

A few examples: Think of a ritualist from nowhere, spending money on a woman. Think of a scammer calling you and posing as an American uncle who has already shipped iPad and iPhone to you, or an Access Bank caller who wants to send N20K to each of their customers as COVID 19 palliatives.

If someone offers to give me something for doing nothing (which doesn't make sense to me), I become worried.

I would rather pray that God bless the works of my hands and my productive endeavors, rather than looking to reap where I have not sown.

Even Abraham had to do something for the visiting Angels before they gave him the blessings, and Jacob had to wrestle for blessings, and he later had to work very hard for 20 years.

Even those 4 lepers had to risk their life before they made a major discovery. Note that they took risk.

The Widow at Zarephath did something that most of us could not do today. She gave her last means of survival to an unknown man. Another widow had to gather as many pots as she could.

Even King Solomon was engaged in international trade. Jesus fasted for 40 days before he began his ministry.
