Why should Trump be rewarded for his lies?

I remember when the ‘Pussy Grab’ news story broke, a lot of people, friends of mine, were declaring it to be the end of his campaign. I think my quote at the time was…

“He could stamp a kitten to death on YouTube, it doesn’t matter.”

His supporters were already emotionally invested in their candidate, it didn’t matter at that point. Rape allegations didn’t matter, people had picked their guy.
