Immigration and Bush’s legacy.

In April, President Bush discussed his legacy with Charlie Rose:

ROSE: History will judge is to whether you were right or wrong.

BUSH: That’s right. That’s exactly right.

ROSE: Bold strokes, you’re a guy that believes in risk, innovation, change, and making and taking bold strokes? Is there one left, in your presidency?

BUSH: Immigration bill.

What Bush was busy with yesterday, as his immigration bill collapsed...



After the collapse of the immigration bill last night, I could only really think of the President and his legacy. Immigration reform has been something that he could do that would leave behind something lasting, something permanent, something that as he traveled around the nation in his post-Presidential years he could look on with joy and pride. But even now that looks doubtful, and with that, it is increasingly likely that he will go down in history as one of the worst leaders our nation has ever had.

All you can come up with is tha man was relaxing with a beer and some folks. I did that last night with the members of my softball team. Yea we lost so I guess that makes us the worst team ever. And I guess the guys sitting at the table next to us enjoying some beer were the worst ever also. You libs are so petty!!!!!!

One thing for sure I am no liberal, and just because I hate the Bush cabal dosent make me one. I don't know what you are but one thing is for sure, your head is so far subplanted into the ground they would have to pump light down to you to see the truth. Thanks Nikki for your post.

Gosh I couldn't agree with you more! I had a couple bloody Mary's yesterday after a round of golf. I didn't play very well yesterday, the heat got to me, but sitting around with friends we didn't cry about it, (at least not to loud). Get real! Cheers to you Bush!
