    Default A Story of Faith

    The Story:

A woman invested in the digging of an oil well because she believed that God had opened this "investment" to her. After much drilling, no oil was found and the decision was made to stop drilling. The woman went back to God and asked Him what was going on and what should she do? God told her to go back to the "investment" and encourage them to continue drilling. Eventually, they struck oil and she became a millionaire. Later, in her time with God, she asked God what happened with the oil well? God told her that there had never been any oil at the bottom of the well. He moved the oil so it could be found because of her faith.

    My thoughts:

I have been with PIPs for less than 2 years and never posted. I have watched the "investment" go up and down and disappear. I, like the woman in the story, invested (by faith) because I believed that God had brought this wonderful opportunity into my life. I refuse to receive any of the bad reports that keep coming up. I am choosing to keep my faith activated. He will meet me right where my faith is at. I am choosing to cast this care on God and my investment will bring a return. Maybe that return will come through PIPS and maybe it won't, but my return is still guaranteed simply because God can move my harvest anywhere He wants so it can get to me.

Yes, I never invested more than I could lose. Yes, I check in with PIPS, but it is not my whole life. PIPS is not my savior, Jesus is. My faith is activated in many directions so I have no fear about my harvest whether PIPS is successful or not.

I hope this story is able to bless someone on this PIPS journey.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Hey, nice first post :-)

    On a similar note:
Recently I have been revisiting some of my fave movies and watched 'X-Men 2'... A nice film for those who like the superhero genere but surely not the most inspiring for a spiritual seeker. However, there was a dialogue that made me think.

Storm: Sometimes anger is a good source of strength!
    Nightcrawler: Even Faith!

I never cease to be amazed by how things that don't seem to go our way sometimes turn into a greater good. I am already reaping benefits from the loss of money on pips (which I believe will be temporary). The site went down at a time when I had just lost other money on forex, and ended up with more debt than actual cash in hands. It was really the my most frightening time of my life (I wasn't even that afraid when I was studying for University, thank God I failed )

But in the meantime many lessons about money and the true value of things are coming in abundance, and I believe they ae coming to prepare me for something geater.

Here is a list of what I learned.
    1) I have learned that I am not valued by my bank account & that I can still carry on with less cash in hands.

    2) I have learned about many sources of income

    3) I have better learned to control greed and fear of not having money.

    4) I have learned that some money is suppose to be used for worthwhile causes not left to accumulate, I am less afraid of spending money on ventures I have always wanted to do before but never dared.

    5) I have now taken a better & more independent approach to forex trading rather than have someone hold my hand as I was before.
I learned that the best investments are those where I have most control on... My bad decisions may be better than the good decisions of others.

Now not only do I trade differently but with even more profit & confidence. Forex trading is a very rewarding activity for those who can be detached from wins and losses (see 3). Sure I'm not a perfect trader, but I'm profitable and getting better. I wouldn't be so if it weren't for the initial panic that I had to control.

    6) I decided to actually start to use the self-development stuff & psychology I have been learning all these years... in fact that is where I would take refuge in the hope of dealing with the problem. (probably the reason why ths forum exists). This thought me alot about myself.

    7) I am still learning that I am not my feelings, and how I feel is up to me.

    8) how I deal with issues & circumstances is up to me, I am above them, I have any control I allow myself to have, and any problem has a solution.

    9) I am amazed by how strong a human can get in the face of challenge (as if I haven't boasted enough about what I have learned )

    Last but not least
    10) I learned that if I never give in, never give up and just trust that God (or, Higher Intelligence, the Universe, Karma, Destiny or whatever you believe in) is guiding me... I can conquere and do anything!

Personally I used to find having faith to be hard, un-reasonable, even stupid.
Because I considered faith to be a form of trust, and trust is something one must earn, even God himself!!!
But ever since then, (my idea of) God earned my trust, so when another hard time came I decided to give faith a try, and more trust was earned :-)

Faith helps one bypass many fears most of which are imaginary.
Faith whether in oneself, in God or in both... is power.

Which is why I'm glad this post appeared... thanks :-)

    Post wanted to add something

I just learned something else (I have just been looking at the Pips Program forum and...) The frustration on Pips' situation is mindblowing!

    What could this mean?

    Are Some people are greedy?
Were some people in need and took a risk they couldn't afford, ignoring the disclaimer?
Were Some just ok, but decided to put all their life in the hands of Pips, also ignoring the disclaimer?

So here comes lessons 11, 12

    11) Money is a sensitive & emotional subject most people lose their minds on. I know (not so close) friends who would rather reveal problems in their sex life than talk about money. Buddha was right to realise that Greed and fear lead to pain! Just look around.

    12) Related to lesson 8; Circumstances do not make a person - They reveal him/her... I don't know each person's story with money but our own thoughts have been proven to influence our life more than circumstances. I know of people here (and elsewhere too) who were once in a state of panic and decided to get out of it and be strong.

I'm glad there's this Self-Development forum, which I consider an oasis for those who don't want to be contaminated by the negativity present elsewhere. Thanks for the company guys... I'm glad to be here with you, please let's keep sounding our positivity!

In fact!!! How about a party to celebrate?

I'm buying the first round of drinks for everyone!
    cheers!!!

'And I said to the one who stood at the gate of the year, "Give me a light that I may tread safely into the Unknown." And he replied, "Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of God. That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way.'

Sorrow looks back, worry looks around, faith looks up.

But I'm visible, have an address, and answer my phone calls. You can't blame people for lacking trust in God can you?

    Second mouse... you forgot that:
    hope looks ahead in doubt
expectation looks ahead with a smile
    & introspection looks inside
( may I add that Kristin Kreuk looks good )

Yeah, i seem to be taking the stance of proove to us the existance of god.
(To me a mass consciouness of all divine creation). Yet still it is up to our
own divine comandment. Sticky bit. I figure when moses stood before the ocean
it wasn't, "hey god, help me out here. Theres all these people and the bad guys
are chasing us, what can you do". There had to be a great command. Even
though by the direction of the lord, he was. Still i think to witness moses at this
time would have been equal to that of the great ocean parting. What then is
our role to play. Must we demand that god take command of the situation ?
After all, the higher beings cannot intervine with our own free will. We must
make it absolutly certain that we want there help. Any thoughts ???
