in a sense, i think you guys are missing the point. we were talking manifestation through sexual Energy. that does'nt mean you have to bang someone. it's the energy, the kundalini itself - with intent of course. as far as a magickal working a vacuous state of mind is the counterpart...

anyway, i've done alot of soul searching on this one. and i've been celibate a helluva lot longer than any of you's i bet. we need some forms of restraint if only for the Energy levels - Which Is Everything. too much sex in general just burns you out. it's exactly like a drug.

as far as the sociological i'm not so sure. i think alot of the taboo has to do with children. if it was'nt for that obligation things might be different (besides not being born : ).
tho, it has been said whoever can control the sexual lives of others....

I'm also not a commited "christian" but also had a catholic upbringing, just like you. When my parents were young which is 20-30 years ago exactly THIS has been preached in catholic churches, namely that sex is filthy and only for making kids. No idea where your parents grew up but that doctrine was not unusual at all in South Europe and conservative catholics, you can believe that or not. Looking at todays situation it is in indirect and more subtle ways but depending on where you live and how much conservative churches and preachers are it is still actual today. Maybe you find out which subtle ways there are... Looking at the Islam its worse. The men there treat their women and wifes badly and treat them as inferior beings for only household and making two handful kids. Sex is such a tabu there that on the streets wifes have to walk several meters behind their husbands like some dogs cause in their eyes the woman is not much worth. I saw this same picture with a hinduist couple I knew, she was pregnant with him and she also had to walk like a dog behind her husband. Asking her why that is the case she answered because the husbands are ashamed of having pregnant wifes. Replying to her but apparently he wasn't ashamed to have sex with you she only laughed and signalised that this is common within their culture.

When not in all but in most religions sex has been in some form more or less "demonized", be it quite directly or more subtle. Man and woman have been seperated from each other by their religions, preaching the women being as inferior beings. If it was not in your case (or your parents maybe cause they were smarter just like mine) but in catholic religion, islam, hinduism and maybe others the woman is considered less worth and inferior to a man. Of course there are liberal societies also, more in the cities than in suburban and landly areas. I heard many incidents about this from different people, I saw first hand how men treat their wifes from different religions. Sure, it was worse 30 years ago but also today women still are not treated equally everywhere, including the western world. And this includes true love and sex.

Manifesting through techniques like meditation, focusing thoughts and wishes from heart and also through sexual energy - which is not the only but one part of it - surely has not been taught from any religion on this planet. And there surely is a reason why. I agree with aeara that you should save your energy and not do it too often but when you do it (which is normal and which you should do as it belongs to being a human being) of course do it with true and compassionate love to your partner, something I didn't mention as IMO this is self explanatory, I just wanted to point to a topic I found as IMO it is not unimportant. One shoudl simply know about these and those things. It is a fact that knowledge about quantum physics, manifestation, creation and yes, sex also plays a role amongst it all, has actively been suppressed by powers to be including gvt's, religions, institutions etc.

All religions have been created to control and manipulate people and nothing else. Soon people will realize that more and more and then hell will be loose on earth.

Having looked into many religions I am in no way a commited christian but having had a Catholic upbringing I can assure you that what you say there about the Vatican's idea of sex is totally incorrect. Whoever thaught you that nonsense about the Catholic church is a completely misinformed individual trying to find sensational arguments.

The Genesis command - "Be fruitful and multiply" I think says it all. Mankind thinks that the world is over populated.

Think of it this way

The entire worlds Population will fit into Loch Ness and there will still be a few fathoms before the surface

The entire world population will fit on the Isle of Wight with room to spare.

There are other examples.

If its too populated where you are - move where there isn't so much.

Man thinks the world is overpopulated - I guess those who think that, like Ted Turner, should set an example and go first.

God said "Be fruitful and multiply" for a reason - and if the world becomes very populated as a result, then he obviously has a plan - right now - there is plenty of room - mankind just has to get on together sufficiently to manage it properly. "Be fruitful and multiply" has its benefits, and for a start, its a hell of allot of fun.

I don't think that its the church that frowned on sex as dirty, what it frowned on (along with other religions) was promiscuity, and even God sets rules and frowns on that. But thats not to stop multiplying.

As I said before I am not dismissing the claims. I am just advocating the idea that: the facts should be seperated from sensationalism by the use of an open minded rationality (as much as possible).

Surely, sexual energy is quite a powerful energy, and like any other energy it can be channeled in any direction we desire. I also believe that sexual energy is more potent when combined with love energy... but it's not a belief I would impose; to each his own opinion.

The following is also purely my opinion but I would rather channel my sexual energy into... you know... sexy stuff!!!
