You paid $40 for the meeting - we (the members who took charge of putting it together) paid for the hotel room (what are the prices in New York like?) and lunch for Bryan, Sharon and most of the guests as well. Not only did Bryan not get a single penny out of it, I, and a few others, put in a good additional amount. As a matter of fact, even though the meeting went quite long, Bryan made himself available for the rest of the day at the hotel he was staying for anyone who wanted to speak to him further.
Oh, as you were wondering about Sharon, she stayed in the back because, if you will recall, it was so crowded that the hotel staff had to scramble to bring in extra seats for the guests and she did not want to take away a chair from a guest, so she stayed in the back, most of the time at the table by the door speaking to me. I have rarely met a more sincere and gracious lady.
I won't address your humanitarian aid comment, as it has no basis in truth and merits no mention. I do know that with the aid to the Phillippine children that PIPS was instrumental in obtaining, there are several children that are now off the streets that would have been forced to remain in the streets. Hopefully, the work can continue on.
