Seriously, what would you have done? Many already knew about this, and many surely clued Marek in on this and voiced their opinions on what should be done, so this was not a snap decision, but think about it, then tell us what you would have done in Marek's position?
You see, it isn't easy to be in a position of knowledge of a problem and not say anything or say it like it is, as in honest. Not saying what you know is to many just as bad as lying about it, so everyone has their own opinion on issue, but I would really like to hear what you would have done given your voiced opinion. You see, everyone has an opinion, but unless you have a solution or answer to issue, opinions are useless.
I put myself in Marek's shoes, as I did in Bryan's before I decided what I would have done. Granted, Bryan was in a corner as many of us already knew about the connection to 10X5, so think about it, this was not as secret as you may have thought it was. Now from Bryan's point, he chose to deny it at first, at least when he thought he could get away with it, but we all know why he had to change his mind, and lash out as if to defend his deception.
You see, it wasn't easy for either to take the actions they did, but talking about what Marek did is hardly in comparison to what Bryan did. Marek was confronted with a very similar situation as Bryan was, and that was that many knew about this unethical false identity issue, so if it was released by others, and not Marek, what would you have thought of Marek then? You see, you cannot have it both ways. This was a tough decision, but one that Marek had to make to protect his integrity, and since Bryan already blew his integrity with most of us, Marek made the right decision.
So what would have been your decision? I am sure everyone here has an opinion, but did they have a solution? Since you voiced a decision that both were wrong, I am curious to know what was the right decision that should have been made? Not say anything, is this your ACCEPTABLE solution for both? This is effectively worse in my opinion, for it would be essentially lying, no matter how you cut it. The only thing I see as UNACCEPTABLE is Bryan's attitude having been caught lying. Responding like a five year old was too kind. Please let us all know what you would have done in same position?
Good luck to all, Mike
