    Default More Merchant news!

    Just in today:

    Dear Valued PicPayShop Customer,

We have received information from PicPay as to what is occurring and what to expect soon but without time tables.

PicPay are/will be cancelling orders up to and including 18 Jul 05. We don't know why orders after that date are considered to be acceptable. You can either wait to receive your funds back in your PicPay account to recreate your prior order or use any available funds you may have to recreate your order now so to get back into the order queue hence withdrawal queue ASAP.

PicPay require merchants to be re-verified and a more extensive criteria set to be passed. We expect to pass with flying colours as we are a serious and legitimate business.

As more develops we will keep you informed.

    Best regards,

I've just had confirmation from a merchant that they are closing because they don't meet the new requirements for verification and so my order will be cancelled.

It was for a couple of vouchers, one for £500 for John Lewis and one for £1000 for PC-World. I could do without the PC-World one but I really wanted the John Lewis one for my wife as she is pregnant and due in October and I wanted to use it to buy baby things.

The only other decent place to buy them from is not taking new orders at this time until the whole mess gets sorted out so god only knows if I'll get one now in time. My guess is that I won't as it is 2 months to the day that I placed the original order.

    Getting frustrated!

nej i know how you feel. My wife is also due in 3 weeks and i will have hospital bills to pay and baby things to buy too... i thought at this time i would be loaded... that was back in october!

So is it worth trying again on the merchant side?! I am usually objective, but unless some good reasons are forthcoming soon, this seems to be a stall tactic.

Does anyone know of any merchants that are verfied?

Can you still order visa gift cards?

Can I place "clean" new orders with verified merchants today?

This is a crock . You place a new order , it takes months for your funds to be screened , then months waiting in the "shipped category ".

You work out how much "interest" we all have lost collectively with all these funds tied up in wdls and purchases , over the last 12 months . Tens of millions .You will not get a "visa card" from these people . that would mean paying out money .as for Portugal . Start swimming .

Most just want honesty . This folds we move on . Stringing people out with no communication is crud . It is doing more damage than the thing going belly up .

I have two purchase orders from Merchant that have been complete for over a month, status on both is showing 'Shipped'.

Surely these are not going to get cancelled are they?

I beggining to think that we have all been taken for a ride. Only time will tell.

The closed merchant is Listers Loot. I guess I'll order from Higham, but their website (as opposed to their merchant site) says that they are not taking new orders. Perhaps they mean they aren't taking new orders via their website but still are via picpay. I might drop them an email and ask.
