A quick check of "the list" will tell you which side I am on, so it may surprise you that I start this thread.
But I promise: I have no hidden agenda. And, I will not come back to dispute, refute or otherwise disrespect the responses. I am just TRULY CURIOUS -- not at all that so many people believe PIPS will come back -- but as to WHY?
Here is another chance to explain, respectfully, to those of us on the "not" side of the list, why you feel PIPS is not like all the other HYIPs that, once they go down, never come back.
Many say they have a "gut" feeling, a strong belief; go ahead and repeat that if you want. Others have said it's because BM has not "fled" like the heads of other HYIPS
and others have said they met him and believe in his integrity.
Please state any and all reasons why PIPS will come back, if you feel like it. Also, quite a few have said it will come back, but in another form. So, how then?
All answers respected. Please no personal attacks.

PIPS will return due to:
1. PIPS was a legitmate business.
2. PIPS had a official office that any member could find.
3. The PIPS program was based on a group of actual businesses..PIPS reality etc....
4. Conventions were held and still in the planning for the future.
5. PIPS had a personal contact in BM.
6. PIPS was down before and came back to life.
7. BM has not run away. He posted recently in the HALotto form.
8. BN is still investigating PIPS. If it was a scam. Why are they still looking at it?
9. Many founders are still posting here with great confidence that PIPS will return. If PIPS was dead they would not waste their time.
Here are just a few reasons.

It really takes a while to get my fires going.........
We have been asked to be silent for a time. BM himself has said that "when" and "if" there is anything to talk about, he will. Until then, consider it a waiting game.
I, myself, find it very curious as to why those who are sure it is dead and gone want your reasons why it isn't or shouldn't be. Do not feed their appetites of destruction and mayhem! Say nothing, do nothing. He has asked this on at least 8 different occasions in the past months. Let's all do everyone a big favor and drop it for a week or two (or three). All that is being done here is to keep everyone on edge and at each others throat. What can be done (with Pips) is being done. NOTHING you or I can do about it. But THEY can still create problems. Think, friends.
Please, if you have any respect for BM, Pips or yourself, do not dignify -them- with continuing dialogue. Respect his wishes - let it go for now.
SoulSurfer: a question for you.....which is more easily deceived, the eye or the heart?

SoulSurfer,
Let me be the first to respond to your question, unless with my 1 fingered typing, somebody else beats me to it.
I have met Bryan Marsden in person several times. I have asked him questions and looked him straight in the eye when he gave his answers, and I believed him. And I still do!
How many CEO’s of a scam or Ponzi scheme carry out a world tour or are available to ordinary members to meet in their offices. Not very many! How many even post contact details on their websites. Again not very many!
He could have walked away when GWPI failed, but did not. He could have walked away when PIPS and the associated companies were shut down, but did not.
Even though he has not posted for a while I think that is a good move on his part and to paraphrase another poster on this forum “No news is good news” and sometimes “silence is golden”. IMHO, he is still working for the PIPS members even though he is less visible than before.
Obviously time will tell and we will only find out what really happened when the results of the BNM investigation are published, if they ever are.
My name is not on the list as I believe that serves no purpose (only my opinion).
I have answered some of your questions and I would like to ask you respectfully to share your opinions as to why you appear to think that PIPS will not return.
I will respect your answers whether I agree or disagree with them and hopefully all members of this forum will act in the same manner. Then we can have a proper discussion without name calling, back stabbing etc. The beer drinkers and rum drinkers can hopefully sort out their differences without resorting to blackmail about leaving the pub, and even invite wine drinkers to participate in their happy place.
Cheers, from a happy wine drinker,
njbth
I notice that 2 replies have already been made so my first sentence about being the first to reply was out of date as soon as I posted. Never mind, if you still want to discuss it and post your feelings then I for 1 am willing to listen.Last edited by njbth; 22-06-2006 at 06:20 PM.

Deja Vu !!?? Didn't we have this discussion in another thread !!??
Silence is Golden .... The Sounds of Silence...........
We don't need to do anything now, but be Still. When a resolution comes, we will hear about it. We will all get the message - - it will be given to everyone.
The more we talk, the more we will stir things up. I know that's not intentional, but it happens.
What can we do? Pray, meditate, send your positive energy flow to Bryan. But as you're doing that, live and enjoy your life.

I find it curious that the humble threads have been locked at your request.
What happened to convince you to stop asking questions and searching for the truth? Do you know something we don't, and are scared to tell us?
I am also curious as to why the thread posted by Marek, titled something like breaking the ice, has disappeared totally, especially when he instructed his MODS to keep it open while he was away.
Something about calm waters but dangerous undercurrennt's come to mind.

Persephone,
I misread your post and mistakenly read something into it that you did not say. I apologise for my remarks and have now removed them.
Arcturus1,
Thank you for pointing out my error. I agree that there was nothing offensive or foolish in pesephone's post but my reply was both. For that I apologise to all members of this forum, especially persephone.Last edited by njbth; 23-06-2006 at 08:01 AM.

I am guilty, NB, of not listening........in my hubris, I thought to help, not heeding the requests made of us members. That is something only I can answer for. Yes, it may have helped some, but it may have caused collateral damage as well. For that, I have regrets, but only of the method. I plead guilty as charged.
I cannot speak for the Admin or Mod's and what they do, as I am not one of them, nor am I in any way affiliated with ROLClub, other than as a member. I have made no public or official requests for the locking of any thread or moving of any information. It was not my doing, not my decision.
As for your last post, I believe caution is in order, as your chastisement should be personal as well. I see nothing offensive or foolish in Persephone's post.
Silence, friends, peace and rest. We ALL need it.

IMHO there is absolutely no reason for you to have any regret for creating the Humble Request thread. It was needed and has helped many to have a better understanding of the situation. I am certain that was your primary reason for starting it. You can’t be held responsible if information from the thread were to be used in an attempt to further create problems for Bryan Marsden. However, if you are now having serious concerns in that regard and I can fully appreciate why, then you are justified in modifying your position.
I am certain that I am one of many that is thankful for your efforts in this difficult task you undertook and look on you with respect.
