Things that should make you go "Hmmmm..."

First off, Thank You to all those members that have contributed valuable history and information to the Humble Requests thread. Just speaking for myself, it has clarified a lot of the information about Pips and filled in a lot of the gaps in my knowledge.

Secondly, due to the thread, the presence of many Pioneers, as well as the "Gone Live" status of HALotto, some "big" players have been lurking about lately to save us all from ourselves. We've been visited by "Dogman" and his puppets/minions, Owen Platt is hanging out here lately, Warren has shown up on Auspips to continue his mantra (he may have been here but I can't verify that), and there has been a resurgence of the "new member, few posts" genre that have been recycling the same old same old. All of them refer to the Pips "scheme" in every post they make. It's all very reminiscent of American politics; make people feel unsure about something new (or old) by calling it a "scheme" at every opportunity.

The part that should make anyone go "Hmmmm" is "Why now?" 12DP died a rapid death and all new threads and posts about it stopped within a month after its demise. Several other programs have met similar fates and the conversations on any of them died out almost immediately. Yet 8 months after the stepping in by BNM, the bashing of Pips and BM continues basically unabated..."Hmmmm". There have been "lulls" in the activity but whenever something comes along that might be a "positive" sign, they all show up again trying to convince us that they are "just trying to help us" come to grips with the truth. "Hmmmm..." It also seem that any information they get is used to incite members to call or email various authorities...."Hmmmm."

Does anyone else think that all of this is "Hmmmm" strange?

I also feel that all those against Pips and BM are in chocking stage, knowing that is the end for them.

There are a few reasons why PIPS/BM continue to receive attention whereas others didn't:

-The size of the membership was far bigger than that of 12DP or any other recent program.
-PIPS was around for a considerable time.
-No program generated so much "good vs evil" arguments as PIPS.
-Bryan is still visible, and indeed promoting a new program.
-The other programs either disappeared by themselves, or got actually shut down by the relevant authorities. PIPS is simply being "investigated", implying it may well come back, and is still considered important enough to have a link on the main page of the BNM site. This also implies it has not gone for good.
-People put a lot more money into PIPS than they put into anything before (or since for that matter).
