I am very appreciative of your kind words, although I do not deserve such praise.......can one take credit for reminding one that the sky is blue?
The human condition is a fragile, yet irresistable thing. Soft, yet unyielding. No one can take anything from you that you don't willfully give away. Do what you wish to this shell I am in, but you cannot take my honor. You cannot touch my integrity. You cannot destroy hope.
One can make a difference! If you don't believe me, just look into the eyes of a child. There you see the universe in all it's possibilities, and all it's wonder. A pox on any and all who beat down the dreams of the dreamer, who take the kid out of the child. If only we would all accept the world as a child.......................
To all of those who say that Hope is dead, I say get out of my way. Begone, spirit of darkness and trouble me no more. Believe what YOU will, and leave me be. No amount of coaxing, threatening, screaming or persuading will move me from my chosen course. Whether or not Pips comes back tomorrow, next month, or next year matters not to me. What DOES matter is that I stay true to myself; that I act with honor and integrity. You cannot defeat Pips, you cannot defeat the membership, you cannot defeat the Dreamer, unless WE allow you to. Only I can give up. I may lose a battle or two, but I will never be defeated.
To those of you who say it's over: Thank you. Your words have been heard and acknowledged. You may go now. To those of you who hope: this world still has many treasures, many surprises to be found. Don't give up the fight. Eventually, the rain wears down the mountain, and the sea crushes rock to sand. All it takes is that final breath of wind to topple the oak. Who is to say which breath?
Thank you again for your graciousness, patience and your tolerance. I will slip away now, for a time, but I won't be gone for good.
Peace, and long life.
Arcturus

Arcturus, thank you for so articulately stating the way I also think and feel. When I read your message quoted below, it was as if I could have written it myself (if I were able to put my feelings into words, as you have so nicely done.) Thank you!

Dear Arcturus,
Go with God, peace, grace and strength be with you. I look forward to your return. Your wisdom and understanding is, unfortunately, missed by many here.
Peace and long life to you as well,

It doesn't really matter what the cat saw.....
I love animals, but cats are NOT one of my favorite species. If any single animal personifies the idea of "looking out for number one", IMHO, it would have to be a cat, LOL. I know cat lovers call them independent and proud, while cat haters call them arrogant and self centered. I believe the truth lies somewhere in between, which, is probably also the case with PIPS. BM is not God or Satan, regardless of how much is written or preached by those who believe either one.
I joined this forum hoping to find some folks who might know something I don't and are willing to share it. All I've found so far are more people like me, hoping things will work out, but without enough evidence on either side to know WHAT to believe.
Apparently, all any of us can be sure of is that EVENTUALLY we will get the answers to our questions. Time will tell.
While I feel sure time will tell, I am just as sure, no matter what he might have seen, the cat won't! I can't think of a single thing a cat ever did without selfish motivation. Think about it, no one has EVER seen a dozen cats harnessed to pull a sled! I wonder if they are too lazy to work, or just to smart to get roped into doing a job that doesn't even pay minimum wage?

Remember where that oak came from? The mighty oak was once just a little nut who held his ground. See, being a nut can be a good thing. We just have to hang in there
