    Default Statutes of Limitation

This is a general query for the membership.
Does anyone have any professional knowledge of what BN`s responsibilites,if any, are to the PIPS membership?
As I am sure most of us are aware, in many cases there exist statutes of limitation whereby, if no wrongdoing or charges filed within a specific period of time, then cases are closed.
Does this apply to what BN has done to Brian and the PIPS membership?
Surely even institutions as big as BN have some legal obligations to expedite their investigations.
If this has been covered,I apologise, but I have yet to see this matter addressed.
I realise that it is not productive for the membership to speculate about a timeframe in which things will get moving again but I think a lot of people would like to know if there is mutual responsibility between BN and the membership.

    Interesting,

Sadly, authorities can take as long as they want, but sooner or later, the issue of due process comes into play, and that is under which charges have been filed. We have no idea what if any charges they uded to start this investigation, nor do we know how Malaysian laws are written, so we wait and see. Statutes of limitations are different than due process requirements, but again, I am speaking only in reference to English law.

    Happy Holidays to All, Mike

At this point the investigation shouldnt end until the BoN have determined conclusively whether there are sufficient funds or not to cover our Picpay
accounts if in fact this was an investigation about non payment. Until then i dont see Pips returning.

The investigation done by BoN was started by the inability of picpay to honour withdrawal requests from members.Isn't that the way this whole mess started in the first place?I believe I'm right by saying this.

If it has ended then we will know soon enough whether there are funds to cover our Picpay balances however my personal feelings are, if withdrawals cant be honored Pips wont be returning.

I suppose it all depends on the legal team who have to consider what actions to take ( if any ) based on the evidence from BNM. Who knows?

Providing the funds are in PICPAY to pay the members, all should be well.

    Heres hoping

    1. legal team?...who are you referring to?

2.I doubt that there is enough funds in picpay!... and it is going to be interesting to learn from the BN investigation where the money are, gone or if someone run away with them.

    3. I doubt that PIPS will ever raise again, ....and my guess is that a significant (totally different) modified program need to replace PIPS. Quite a few of us knew that the unrealistic amout of money that was supposed to be generated by ROL simply did not exist. I was and still am astonished that the management of PIPS including Bryan would not ever admit that!

Wow!! Well I hope Bryan will be letting us know where we are going from here pretty soon. And what we should expect if anything....I can only let bygones be bygones I don't want to think all this was just a fantasy that we could enrich our lives, Bryan said somewhere the program did not depend on New Members money and it had stable investments which is where we got our ROL. Well I guess only he can answer and I'm sure he will .....since he let us know about PipsAid way ahead of time.
