Default Pips August 2008 Trial News

Hello all. Here is what we have from the PIPSINC trial News, where our moderator TheBat$ was once again present.

    Trial Update 4-8-2008 : Postponed to 9th & 10th October!

Arrived at the Seremban Courts at around 8am. Proceeded to the Sessions Court X. The court door opened at around 8.30am. Around that time, a police truck pulled around and I caught a glimpse of the couple. The notice board had the trial dates and today was especially packed.
The judge was a lady and she looked like she meant business. Certainly more proper than the ones I've encountered before.

BM and SM brought in to court with a bunch of other inmates. BM was wearing a blue, collared t-shirt, one he has worn before and SM was in a blue Police Lockup garb. As they sat down at the court, I could see that the time in prison had made both of them thinner. Sharon started to sob, but BM was on another bench with another inmate.

Earlier in the morning, I spent my time talking to two of the court officials. (Pls look out for my conversation) I had been told to the effect that it would be postponed today. I felt like SCREAMING my lungs out at the judicial system which moved at a glacial pace. Anyway, back to the court report.

It was touching 9.00am and no sign of the press but many people in court today. BM's new lawyer showed up, he was Indian, a stocky fellow with a slightly thinning hair on top. He wore and ear stud but otherwise he looked like your typical lawyer. He came and consulted the Marsden and they looked like the were in deep discusion.

The judge arived at around 9.20am and flew through a series of postponements due to lack of evidence, no medical report, new lawyer needs time for paperwork and others. A mental case, an accident case, a drug related case then a cheating case which followed our case. Their newly appointed lawyer asked that the trial to be postponed and mention that they have notified the British Authorities, for what wasn't clear to me.

Hence, the case has been postponed again to October 9th and 10th 2008. Lookout for my trip report and a bonus, I hope.

    Regards

    Thebat$
A big thanks to the contributors and a big thanks to TheBat$.

    TO ALL PIPSINC MEMBERS: IMPORTANT.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have spent some time thinking about the way things have been for the past 3 years, where a lot of the information on this trial came out in the news media from Malaysia in the start about pipsinc.

Later we had to setup a "PIPS FACT FINDING FUND" where members of Rolclub donated funds including This "PIPS FACT FINDING FUND" to cover the costs of our moderator thebat$ going to the region and covering the trials for us. The sad thing about these trials has been the fact that, each time we get funds from members to pay for thebat$ trip to the region to cover trials, the trials always seem to get Postponed, and even our moderator including the team from Rolclub are very frustrated about this situation time after time. Usually thebat$ trips are fully paid ahead (traveling, living and the rest) which is suppose to be a benefit.

From the donations that lately has come inn, which also seem to be going down for each time there is a trial, we would NOT be able to cover these trials much longer if they keep getting postponed time after time. A solution for this problem would be to actually invest the members donations from the "pips fact finding funds" into ROLCLUB's own investment program TradedFund, where it would grow with a 7% rate month after month, so we can accumulate these funds out of our own investment program, and not have to ask members for further donations. We would just have to make sure that we at least have $4300 invested to generate $301 each month to cover the trials and all costs for TheBat$ living, traveling and eating.

Its almost been 3 years with Marsden's behind bars, and the trial's haven't even started properly. How long would these trials take???? Your guess is as good as ours.. We don't know. We would like to know if our members think it would be better if we rather invest the "Pipsinc fact finding funds" into our investment program, to generate the funds for the Pips trials?

If so, we would need nearly 4300 USD inn total donations to be able to make 7% = $301 monthly. And for each trial we would simply use funds generated by our investment program, that has been online and active for past 2 months. We wait to hear your views.

The way i see it, this is the last update from PIPS trails unless we get the sort of sum accumulated by as many members as possible to invest it and then use funds generate to bring future trials news.

I would like to bring your attention to this thread for "The pips fact finding funds": http://www.rolclub.com/pips-program-...ing-b-c-d.html and hope that more members take part inn contributing to the sum: $4300.

Rolclub has supported this fund in the past. And we would like to be the first again, to lay down another $100 for starting the donations where the target sum is $4300. Unless we reach the target sum, there wont be any news in October or further, and the rest of the donations that came inn will be refunded. So Please, do take part if you wish to see further news from PIPS Trials. We have all stood together to now, and i hope we can make one last effort again to make things more automated and less stressful for us all.

    Best Regards
    Admin

    Ridiculous!

As much as I think Bryan is a thieving con-artist, I'm actually beginning to have a bit of sympathy for the guy. It's been what, 2 or 3 years now since his arrest? And still no trial! Which still technically makes him innocent. The "until proven guilty" part it just taking far too long. Once he's proven guilty I hope he gets his due (and then some), but having it take that long isn't fair.

I really hope I never get arrested in Malaysia!

    Default Slow Pace

Your post says it all, really, nej.

The slow pace of the judicial system in Malasia is simply excruciating and unfair to the detained.

We shall continue to look forward to what transpires eventually.

Well done to thebat$ for his unstinting efforts in bringing us these reports. We shall continue to send what we can to help him.

I just had Batty on the phone followed with Marek and as I type, Batty is looking for something to eat at a nearby (stone's throw distance) location from the hotel.

I also came to understand just how things are at this point too regarding the "progress" if any made by the previous defense council and with a new one, he has to take a crack at it from zero standpoint. Fine, one would expect him too which includes noticing BM is still a British subject and perhaps, stand a chance of being hauled out of the Malaysian Judiciary madness and be tried in the UK...

All that is fine and speculative, it can just work, from the new lawyer's [position, but I wouldn't but that one bit of success either... as I am also aware how adamant the BN prosecutor is in seeing justice spelled out to what BM and SM had got themselves into with Malaysian Fraud Law.

So, lets get this other issue addressed as well.

Marek & I are in agreement that Funds just have to be flowing to have it pursued and until that can give rise to sustaining further efforts... more donations are expected but I am not just ready or tuned in to having any funds collected and be put into any Investment....

Its a good thought, but I'm ready to accept from others who will consider it outright as a bad suggestion too let alone consider using their donation to channel it elsewhere even for awhile in waiting... I loath handling people's money principally.

Anyway, at this point in time, I'm not sure another round of consensus is needed with a poll to see who is in favor of setting aside whatever is collected from hereon to be invested or not...

I will think we have an option like we had earlier considered, you get to receive/hear 1st hand for what you donated for, period!

I will come back onto this very soon... bear with me... perhaps latest by tomorrow afternoon... I was caught unprepared by this revelation myself.

Well Yogi, i respect your views. Off course this is also an option, and i wont like to make any decision on behalf of all pipsinc membership alone. I and you have both our own views on these matters, and i am sure our members would even have other interesting suggestions.

The flaw with my suggestion is that it needs $4300 and it takes alot of support from members to get there.. i can also say that there is no guaratee that we will be able to accumulate $4300 to invest it, but for sure that would be something that would cover alot of these trials.

The flaw with your suggestion is that, it just send news to those that pay or have paid in past, and that is also a situation where we after each "postponed trial" are inn a "HAND TO MOUTH SITUATION" were our "Pips fact finding funds" gets deplete, So Yogi my friend, how long do you think you can get support for this suggestion? Well i am with whatever the membership decides.

    So here are the choices.

1.Invest the funds and use the monthly % to pay for the pips update's (suggestion from Admin: Marek)

    Or

2.You donate and get the news. If you dont, you wont. (Suggestion from Admin: Yogibrood)

    Or

    3. other suggestion (from members)

    (Is that correct Yogi?)

The Bat has made an amazing effort to keep everyone in the know but it seems that under Malaysian law one is guilty and does at least three years minimum until possibly proven innocent. The prosecutors however in this case seem hell bent on completely destroying the Marsden's life apparently.
Sorry Nej I completely disagree with you that Bryan is a con artist. He was always up front by being at conventions and working his behind off to make things happen. What got him arrested are all the whimpy whiney retards on the net who invested and just couldn't wait to get rich and made calls to the authorities because the friggin bank couldn't process transfers etc.
Yes Bryan's returns were unrealistic, but he was doing legitimate biz operations until some dumbass called in the feds. The Marsden's are nothing more then casualties of the post 9/11 world and the Bush administration patriot act. Money laundering my yea right. As far as I'm concerned the Malaysian authorities and prosecutors are the criminals here. Sorry but I'm pissed, they have ruined the man and his wife's life and someone including lousy members are gonna pay for it in one way or another eventually. It's called Karma people. Life is short so do it right or get out I say.
Malaysian is the last place I plan to go in the future. The Marsden's have been ripped off. It's high time for a fair trial and the UK should get it in gear and friggen do something before they both die in prison. Where is any real justice? Where is all the money in those frozen accounts? I'll tell you where. Earning the banks interest. Let's face it the system is corrupt as hell and it doesn't matter where. It could be North Korea, Myanmar or the good ol U.S.A.
And guess what people.?? No politician is gonna be able to change it even if he wants too because it's been corrupt for too long and those like the Marsden's will continue to fall through the cracks and disappear while everyone is having a party watching TV and listening to there I pods. So some poor guy who was in my belief trying to really change peoples lives gets placed and mostly forgotten in some obscure south east Asian prison system. Midnight express, Bangkok Hilton, Hanoi rundown lock down hard time for what? We all made our own choice to go with Bryan's plan and actually I think it could have worked if it wasn't for all the gangsters online.
I know a lot of jerks who should be behind bars instead of the Marsden's. They have been completed screwed and I'd like to kick that judges ass. nuf said, Sorry for going off a bit here.
    Aloha! Go PIPS!

    Interesting,

This is like starting a movie and not seeing the end, or starting a book, and not finishing it, so we are all awaiting the outcome, even though I think most now know we won't see a dime in return.

I wrote it all off as a bad experience years ago, but I still want to see how it ends, just as everyone does, innocent or guilty, it makes little difference as we will never see anything no matter what happens, this is just how the injustice system works in these matters of money, greed and fraud.

Marek, since I never bothered collecting the mod stipend of dinar, if you check your records, just apply this to this investment fund which I think is a good idea given this may go on for another couple years. Hope all is well, we haven't spoke in a while.

    Thanks, Mike

Long time since I've been here and read your posts. Feels good to be back but I'm as aggressive as ever and will try to control it. No Fraud has ever been proven and certainly no so called money laundering. These are nothing more than trumped up charges to appease those who originally made them, Members. I've also moved on but still can't believe what's happening to them from a purely humane perspective. Christ you'd think they were trafficing in narcotics or whatever for God's sake. But since they authorities were contacted then Yes most likely in all probability we won't see a dime. The system will absorb it. Money has a way of doing that. ;)

    BM's lawyer requested postponement.
