For those of you who have visited the Bistro and many countless who have not. I was informed that this 2 units combined of the 2 storey shoplot bistro is worth a reported RM3million (around USD1Million).

"Highly distinctive with wooden railings, glass and brick walls and state-of-the-art kitchnette, the ambience of this restaurant is further enhanced by the warm, friendly service and great food. Diners can opt to dine outdoors where the patio terrace resembles an outdoor French cafe.

Located 15 minutes drive from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang in Bandar Baru Nilai, it is easily accessible via the North-South Highway, the Elite Highway and the Nilai-KLIA Expressway.

The RM 3 Million restaurant/bar which opened Nov 18 is the brainchild of husband and wife team Briton Bryan Marsden and Malaysian Sharon Phan.

The menu features Modern European-Malaysian cuisine and at the helm is sous chef Lawrence Paul. With the menu changing regularly and the Chef's Daily Special, there will always be something to look forward to as well as the favourites to savor.

The menu features a selection of fresh seafood, prime meats, chops, handcrafted pastas, and vegetarian dishes whose preparations encompass Mediterranean, Malaysia, French, Caribbean, and Pacific Northwestern traditions.

There are also eclectic salads, homemade soups, and creative entree specials."

PIPS Bistro: Where PIPSters Meet.....supposedly

These will be franchises available all over the world. All the money from the franchise goes to PIPS for the ROI. The first Bistro is being built at this moment in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is due to open in November. There will be an outside cafe area and also 2 floors if you go for the full package of approx 3,500 sq ft per floor.

(Kuala Lumpur???? Far from it..... it was in another state!!! Hello!!!!!)

The ground floor is the Bistro and the upstairs is a restaurant.
It will have a Tapas/tex-mex menu and also a localised menu.

There will be computer monitors all around the bistro. One area will show real time stock exchange linked to all the major markets. The other one will be for real time news with a direct link to Reuters. The others will be directly linked to the PIPS servers.

The upstairs restaurant has an open plan area for general dining, a raised area for formal dining and a private dining area. This will be 2 rooms which can seat 10 people each, with a collapsible wall in between so it can seat 20 in private.

First franchise is going to Kuala Lumpur, then Singapore then Melbourne and Sydney.
Then it will be US/Canada and Europe all around the same time.

THEN: A posh place but hardly any customers. It feted royalty and I also had lunch here too. My burger cost RM16 (USD5) without drinks, pretty steep for a burger compared to a MCD Value Meal then was about RM7 (USD2).

One can admit, he had his dreams & vision to materialize with the Catering Venture invested.... but the spot chosen certainly missed it's stature for a place and the grandeur that was expected for his outlandish future as a location.

Was it a hurried investment projected with and by lack of research and true scope?

It is of course, easy to lash out with our grouses after the downfall but it also reflected what was openly an attempt carried out which did not tally with the facts now being uncovered by the Authorities.... Every property & ground has its value but subjected on what evolves around that vicinity that can propel its worth into a vibrant location attracting people and further bustling of events and investment and a complete facelift required to project a new dimension for any business about to operate which this location seriously lacks if not already abandoned as early as 2004 altogether.

I remember being impressed by the set up. Also the checks on the tables and the payments being processed. Wow, I was stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupid. PIPS operated under the name, NEWMARK Business Centre which occupied the top most floor of the 3 storey shoplot. The second floor was PICPAY. To enter this veritable snake pit, you had to press a intercom.

THEN: The PIPS Office

PIPS Incorporated: Holding Company- Registered in Panama...... supposedly

The main reason for moving from Labuan is that Malaysians could not be involved in PIPS as they were in the same jurisdiction.
The Sultan of Brunei has a vested interest and therefore the company could not be registered in his country either even though it was originally planned that the license was to be issued in Brunei

The target is to go for listing within 2 yrs.
Once the listing goes through, we will do an IPO (Initial Public Offering).
PIPS members will get preferential shares at a lower rate than the IPO..... yeah right!!!!


PICPAY: Payment Gateway...to hell.- Registered in Malaysia

In just over 4 months the number of members is over 50,000. Each transaction generates revenue. There is a major campaign going on to start bringing in Merchants. Revenue will be a % on each sale. The manager of PICPAY has been working very hard on this.
In house CC processing will be developed in conjunction with PICPAY.

(As I recalled the merchants weren't paid. The people never got their stuff or the merchants were stiffed of payment.)

Here is my usual trip report. I send it to you for release.

I am sure most people are interested in the trial report rather than my trip report but I do it all the same.
My trip wouldn't be complete with this.

Another trip done, I won't know how many more the future holds but as long as the members want the Trial coverage return with news & developments on the proceedings, I will be there to get it for them.
