Thread: Euro's to E-gold to help needy pipsters

Hi, all,

I would like to donate a few Euro's to Nair's 1$ PIPSTER SUPPORT action (goal: helping the most needy pipsters to survive the current situation) *but* only E-gold donations are accepted.

Problem: I would loose more money to banking fees than the amount I would like to donate:

So... question: is anyone living in the Euro zone prepared to (withouth any profit for him/herself) help me with this transfer?
1. I send you a wire transfer in Euro's equaling XX $$ and an e-mail (with Nair in cc:) to confirm the action and the details of the E-gold account which should receive the donation.
2. You execute a transaction from yours to the action's E-gold account (at no cost) and reply to my mail (with Nair in cc:) you have received my wire transfer and that the transaction was successfull.

I look for this solution to save money... There's already an American member willing to help, but from Belgium to the US, you already loose (too much) $$ for the amount I would like to donate:
- my bank: free
- currency exchange: +- 2,5 Euro (= 3$?)
- intermediary bank(s): unknown (probably not free)
- receiving bank: unknown (probably free).

I haven't decided about the amount I would donate: may vary between 1,5$ and 125$.

ps If you know another member able and willing to help, please forward his contact info.
ps I know about platforms to fund (my own empty) e-gold (like london gold exchange,...) but the way proposed here will be faster and cheaper (for the small amount I would like to donate).

Btw: if anyone has the same request, feel free to reply/mail me too.
With a sufficient high number of members, we might be able to solve this by pooling on our own too :-)
- through one of our own E-gold accounts...
- sharing the fees;
- using a platform that doesn't require too much administration to fund the account (e.g. gold-trader or a cheaper one if we find one... requires some more research).

I found someone willing to transfer my Euro's through his E-Gold account.
Saves me the fees due to currency exchange and intermediary banks - thank him really for that :-).
