I agree with graeme, nothing beats a failure but a try and I believe that those who were left out the first time is not going to let a second chance pass them by. I see this as being a great group effort.

This is a good start, but I am overwhelmed with the long-wordy posts that repeat themselves whereby one must read pages before finding any valid-new substance. (This is what kept me away from the original recovery thread 5 years ago.) It appears that people ask questions and tell their stories WITHOUT READING PREVIOUS POSTS, so the same questions are asked again and again. YB, I suggest that in a few days, after everybody has emptied out their hearts and minds, that you limit this thread to practical suggestions and reports which move us forward with this project. Let's be focused and efficient with this thread this time.

Following are my suggestions for this project:

    1. Everyone wanting to help, please talk to lawyers you know and search the Internet for "Lost money recovery agencies". There are professional companies specialized in finding individuals who disappeared with stolen money, recover the money or bring the law to their door. You will find them in most countries, but best to locate one in Malaysia, the UK and anywhere else BM has operated in the past. Report back here what you find. We will sort them out, interview them and hopefully hire a suitable company on reasonable terms.
    2. Talk to any attorney you know about the situation and ask for their suggestions how to go about recovering the PIPS money.
    3. Call international law firms and try to get input from them as well.
    4. Call International Private Investigation agencies specialized in locating lost or hiding people.

Collectively, let's do the research required to find the best possible option to pursue this project with. Our strength is in our numbers. If everyone does one small task we will gather input from hundreds of people and we'll be so much wiser.

Keep in mind this is only one approach, and not necessarily the best we can conceive. Share your ideas here and help us move forward in any way you can.

    Thanks,
    Alexander

Edit: You embark with a positive and encouraging suggestion if not a proposal if I may so view it. Great, you want and wish and presumably hope for, with others being part of it at a mere thought and suggestion. We have to see just how that works, like off the cuffs with ANYONE for that matter without first understanding if the other can respond or feel the rapport with your attitude, however positive it may reflect. I hope you indulge with the first step and be judged by your initiative(s)?

Can we expect to see any forthcoming feed-backs on your side to be shared with, with how you uncover after contacting Legal services closest by your end? perhaps you may kick-start your effort without further delay? YB.

Red face It has been a long time

I must say I never knew I would ever live to see this really happen. My husband and I are one of the ones that invested $10k into PIPs. Please advise how to proceed. It would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!.

    Question

I know I had 2 "units" of PIPS, but I can't recall what they were worth. Somewhere around $400-600 each I think.
    Does anyone remember?

While I would like this back (and I doubt I'd get it all) what does everyone think the return will be on what we lost? 50%, 10%? If the cost of recovery is more than what I "invested" in the first place, I think I'd have to just let it go.

Also, what was the payment method we had to use to invest? Bank transfer/credit card/online currency?

Lots of questions I know. I'll be keeping an eye on this forum now & hopefully we'll see some development soon...

I was in PIPS and still have my payment records intact.
This is not meant to be a criticism, but just a perspective. Chipping into any collective fund may sound good, but would it not sound like using good money to chase bad money, especially if the chances of collecting the bad money is far-fetched.

I was just paid a percentage of my investment in GINS, into my US bank account directly from Singapore. The Singaporean Authorities set up to investigate the GINS fraud sent out emails to all investors, requesting investment amounts and proof. And this was way back before the trials began. And they kept all investors in the loop as the trials progressed.

Why the Malaysian Authorities that investigated Bryan Marsden did not inform the investors beats me. If they had the hard-memory archive of documents from PIPS, it should have been easy to send out emails requesting these proofs from investors.

.....And another thing. Why chase after a man whom the courts have freed. He has served his jail time and is now free. Monitoring the Hyip forums and other forums on the web, searching for his activities will not benefit our efforts to track down and recover our monies. If he has any sense, Bryan Marsden will know better to stay away from repeating his previous mistakes.

I had a little bit of money in PIPS, but throwing good money after bad is bad logic. I'll be willing to chip-in, though, for the collective efforts of us all, in so far as we have a clearly defined Modus Operandus to recover our funds. Establising a direct link with the Authorities in Thailand who will be responsible for requesting, collecting and distributing the funds, will be a good first step.

Thanks a lot for this effort, Yogi. ( where're the smilies?!? ).

Please keep us up to date on how we can help pursue Marsden. I would love to get my 65K back from that conman.

I lost over $10,000 dollars to this thing, and I missed out on the first opportunity. Let me know what I can do. I have all the documents from when I deposited. I kick myself for getting into this thing, still. I would be amazed if I got anything back.
