Bank of N have officially posted which is good news, and advised us of an investigation.
My concern is that after all this and Pips/us , wins loses or draws , what happens to the billion dollars . Are the funds held in the Bank , and if they are that is a lot of daily interest it is making with our money , so why would they want to hurry the audit .
I pray we have a good team fighting for us and the future of the company .
Keep the pressure on , there is a lot of money at stake here .
gins has been put on hold by the courts again and again. the latest update; more (intentional) delays. it really does'nt look good.
possibly, some folks (higher up in whatever hierarchy) just don't want this stuff.
Yes!!! it's B$ offshore, but only a small fraction, maybe M$ is within the country frozen in banks. Relax and re-read Nairs and Nelsonlee for more info. For as long as there's voices of Bryan, there's hope that Pips will be back as quoted by him personally. At the meantime....,just pray and support him with all our positive posts.

BNM is the Central bank of Malaysia, a government body and not a normal commercial bank. Money are held in normal commercial banks, not in BNM, and BNM has the authority to freeze the bank accounts, meaning the bank accounts cannot be operated during the investigation period. I suppose the money if put in interests bearing accounts will continue to accrue interests during the frozen period.
It is good to hear BM has posted and BNM has also posted. We are hearing some official news now. Stay calm. United we stand.

Bryan's post is in the members section and the BNM post can be found on their web site, just use a search engine to go there, or you can just look further down in the message area and see where it has a message about the bank posting.

Having researched many actions of regulators over the years, usually they hang you in the press first, then strangle you while you die a slow financial death unable to defend yourself since you are presumed guilty until proven innocent in civil cases.
With the recent announcement on BN site, I find this interesting. I may be wrong, but is Malaysia that different than all the other regulators around the world? To post that an investigation is going on a month after the fact seems to lend itself to finding nothing of any fraudulent activity. If there was proof, they would have smeered it all over the press first, and ask questions later.
This would appear to be good news to me, but again, I don't know how Malaysia looks at cases like this. Look at GINS and Plexpay, they were attacked swiftly and it was known by all immediately, yet with Bryan, even his arrest was not known or announced publically, so this was very unusual when comparing to other agencies. So lets hope it is good news.

His ARREST??
I thought the talk of his being arrested had been totally discounted by Nelsonlee and Nair, plus Bryan himself in his phone call to Bill Murphy.

The Legal Consultant on the Uk forum, (not Rex or Robin) who was asked by the Committee to become involved when BN went in posted a couple of weeks ago that Bryan was arrested, his passport was taken by the authorities and that was one of the reasons he couldn't go to Ghent for the convention.
The same Consultant in another post said there was very little money and there was next to no chance of P**s coming back.
He got slated by quite a few for his postings but quite a few believed him too.
Probably one of the reasons that many when mentioned on UK forum that there were donations being given to help Bryan on here, were very anti it.
Not all, but the majority were/are anti helping the cause.
I'm not one of them.

In his phone call to Bill Murphy, Bryan said he was not in jail . . . not that he had not been arrested.

But what charges have been filed? How can a person be arrested without charges being filed? And if he had been arrested, it really seems like it would be in the newspapers over there, especially since he had social interactions with influential people. Maybe those people are keeping it out of the papers, but in the United States the press would be all over this story.

Not really, in some countries you can be arrested and detained during an investigation without being charged. It would be possible that nothing was posted (if he was actually arrested) at the request of influential people. Then the only papers that would post something would be the scandal sheet as they are known as. I am sure that there are people in some of the other countries that will back me on this.Quote:

Even in the US, you can be arrested without charges being brought first. The police department has a limited amount of time to hold someone without any formal charges. If that time frame passes (I think it is 1-3 days, I could be wrong), the police department must release that person if no formal charges are levied.
Whether or not Bryan was arrested is immaterial and worthless fodder to banter any further upon. What we all need is official information and try to stop speculating and raising rhetorical querries that nobody has official answers to, but only causes more confusion and consequently more stress, anxiety and negative feelings that really hurt each and every one of us with hope.
My hopes when joining this forum were to get much needed official and factual information, not additional specualtion, conjecture and confusion. Let's work together and post factual information. The "reading between lines" and the speculation that follows hurts us all emotionally. It also gives the trolls something to feed on.
All preditors seek weakness in their prey. Once it is found, the preditor attacks. Let's not supply the weakness amongst ourselves to be exploited by anyone else and unless someone has real, factual and/or official information, we just need to chill and not post more "BS."
Sometimes not saying anything is far better than opening the mouth and quickly inserting a foot.
In Missouri (and I think the rest of the USA as well) they can pick you up and "detain you for questioning" for roughly 6 hours.
"IF" they are waiting on a warrant to be issued by the judge they can "hold" you for 20 hours. On that 20th hour if they have not "charged" you with something they MUST release you.
Okay, I guess that's right...in other countries you can be arrested without being charged. Isn't that what happened in Aruba? That one guy and even his father were arrested but never charged. I think the time ran out for the prosecution and even the boy has been let go.
As for the U.S. what was described in Missouri is different. There's a big difference between being detained and being arrested.
Back to Malaysia, I thought their system of justice was based on English law. Adster, you are in the UK...can a person be arrested without being charged....I mean, arrested, not just detained for a little while.

What I am saying is this....in Missouri if you are driving down the road and lets use an example......Let's say you get pulled over speeding and while they have you pulled over they see something in the back seat that resembles an item that has been reported stolen. They can arrest you (put you in cuffs, read you your rights and take you in) take you to the jail and hold you for 20 hours WITHOUT charging you with anything. If they do not charge with something within those 20 hours they have to release you.Quote:

What I mean by detaining for questioning is they can pick up anybody they want, even just somebody walking down the road, and detain them for questioning for several hours if they choose to. They are not being arrested, just picked up for questioning in this instance.
But you are right, there is a difference in being "detained for questioning" and "being arrested", but both can happen here "without" being charged.
I would say it is highly possible in other countries as well.
