It's hard to know which direction this points: Toward those most of us consider "rats," as in Owen Platt, Gary N., Warren W., Talketc, . . . or toward Bryan and Sharon. This is why I hate it when people don't just come out and say what they mean.

I'd like to believe that no one would denigrate Bryan and Sharon, but these days it's not all that clear, is it?
