    Default Picpay transfer

Does anyone know if there is a reason why transfer function is disabled in picpay? I am trying to liquidate some of my picpay, but if this function doesn't work then I am s.o.l I guess.

Try visiting a Merchant and order the largest item...like an elephant for instance... then arrange for some small change at the end of the day... transfers are NOT working unless you wire it to your bank. Try again.

Is there a timetable when we will be able to transfer picpay to another member.

I have bought several items from merchants, but am still waiting to receive them. Put it this way I am getting a little frustrated!

    Default transfer

You can always buy units for the other person via your picpay then they can liquidate. However that does require someone giving someone else their login info, but with new pin system its doable.

About Two weeks ago, a CEO update referred to removing the "transfer" function because people were getting stuck with "unclean" units through it.

Now you have to cash out, and cash back in to transfer, thus the staff know that at one point in the chain there was real money. (clean units)

I caveat all this by saying "so they say"...
As there really is no hard evidence one way or the other.

    The fraud went like this:
somebody offers to buy your PICPAY for his e-gold at 50% discount.
they tell you to send your PICPAY first.
then you never hear from them again.

Of course all these members then called PICPAY support, trying to reverse
their transactions and getting their PICPAY back from the scammer.

A lot of unneccessary phone calls and work for PICPAY support.
So the transfer function was turned off for good.

Now, if you want to help a friend or relative with setting up an account or
buying some more units, you can still do that.

But you need a lot of trust and personal relationship to do this.
It works best when both partners meet in the same room.

One person (the buyer) logs in to their account (or registers a new account),
then clicks on *buy units* and for the payment option picks PICPAY.
The other person (the seller of PICPAY) then fills out his/her PICPAY details in the payment form.
The buyer then pays cash or check or whatever was agreed on, and everybody is happy.

This will not prevent any fraudulent PICPAY from cycling around in the system though (if there still is any).

    Hi Karen.

Further, People were also getting burned by SELLING PicPay to someone on credit cards and then the credit card owner was challenging the credit card bill and making off scott-free with the units.

Further to your description, if I wanted to open a new account for a friend, could I transfer monies out of my own PicPay to that account?? that's all I'd want to do anyway

You will have to buy the units from his PIPS-account and pay from your PP-account.......
