Default The Old BM Defence Fund

While looking over some old records, I came across this item:

    The Bm/pips Defence Fundraiser!!

    Hello everyone.

This is Tom Broadbridge most of you know me as the producer of The Animated Kids Bible.

Marek was approached for approval to post this on the ROLClub forum and because he had questions about it we had a long conversation about it and the bottom line is that ROLClub will now give its full support to this action, so here goes!!

Once again, we are asking for the aid of PIPSTERS.

It is a harsh reality that since the freezing of all PIPS assets and bank accounts, Bryan is running out of funds
very quickly to continue his legal battle with BNM.

A group of members, including those involved in the Petition Drive, are co-ordinating and actioning this fundraiser.

THIS COLLECTION HAS BEEN NAMED... THE BM/PIPS DEFENSE FUNDRAISER.

No donation is too large or too small.

This fundraiser will continue indefinitely, or until we announce otherwise.

I sincerely urge you all to give what you can. I am sure you can all understand how important this situation is.

All that is required of you is to make a payment to this paypal account ...

    [email protected]

Paypal accounts are free! You can fund them with your credit cards also. Accounts are quick and easy to open. Just visit www.paypal.com.

This is a very tangible way to support PIPS. Lets get to it!

As always our goal remains ....

    Thanks & kind regards,

    Tom Broadbridge

Did any member contribute? And, if so, what became of the money?

Frankly, I was out of the loop on that effort and even if I had known, I would have expected a far greater lobbying, success and the fund raising would speed up the drive from way down and yonder by the Australian massive flock of supporters.... led by "Kahbrit" which turn out more than 80% vocal as one can witness in the now defunct Auspips Forum but it DIDN'T....

Were they mainly vocal support and pledges but when it finally comes down to the collection side...it withers with question marks as just how supportive they all turn out to be??? This is no speculation...it s another sheer fact of how deep down, they too were taken for a ride...I'm sure if they had a choice back then, a kangaroo ride would hit home far better!

As for the Funds gathered, there were some momentum and I recalled, our ex Moderator "Shell" had a leading /supportive role too in it but what eventually ...came out of it did not materialize transparently either...I guess many are in the dark as to that outcome since.

I wonder if anyone did donate - anybody going to own up?

More importantly, what happened to the funds...

My interest was piqued since Mr. Broadbridge had received considerable sums from Pips to get his Bible business started. Presumably he was also handling the Defence Fund money.

[edit, Please do not post anyone's private information on the site. I would kindly ask you to look at our Rules. A 10 day warning will be given for such postings on Rolclub. However your free to ask what happened with the fund, as this could be interesting for many. Rolclub's also sent $400 in support for that fund. No information was ever given on how the fund was used.admin]

I was a contributor to the [email protected] sent 3 Oct.,2005. I was not aware of any other fund requests other than the current fact finding fund.

No offense Owen, but it is a really cheap shot to put up someones banking information on the Internet. It is as bad as posting someones IP address. The moderators really need to take this down before someone takes legal action against this forum.

[edited, while i agree that its not correct to post anyone's private info as our TOS say, and would have removed it myself if i had seen the post earlier, you can NOT take legal action based on someone's postings ("their opinions"), against us that run the forum. Still our mod's have already removed the post. Admin]
