Fake Microsoft Update
Just received in my Junkbox:e-mail pretending to be from Microsoft with an attachment entitled ms05-039.exe
DO NOT click on that file;it is likely a worm/trojan/virus,etc.
If you receive this e-mail,DELETE immediately.
FROM field says:update @ microsoft.com
SUBJECT field says:What you need to know about Zotob.A Worm

to be on the safe side, NEVER open up email attachments, even if you know the sender (ESPECIALLY if it is a '.exe' or '.pif' file)
-
I recieved this also.
What ever happened to the person[s] who stole all the members data?
[i forget what area i read about it here] 8)

Note Well
Microsoft NEVER send update files in emails or attachments. It is made clear in their declared policy. An update is always in YOUR control, YOU have to cause it to be downloaded, and you are aware of it happening.
Similarly so. Ebay, PayPal etc NEVER ask you to verify accounts by logging in etc. You can tell that these are scams , if you copy the verify link into something like notepad, it is never an Ebay or PayPal URL.

not just that but take note of PHISHING!
