Default PIPSINC Update 12th-April-2007 (thebat$ trip)

    Hello all.

Pips update from Rolclub moderator thebat$, sent to the region.

A few week back we asked for a some donations from our members so that we all could cover thebat$'s trip to get us some updates regarding PIPS, BM and the Trial.

Thebat$ has reported back to us with a brief update over the situations. He will post a few more details from his trip tomorrow from the pipsbistro and other areas we would like to have the updates from.

We are able to bring you the updates due to caring members that has taken part in our 2$ donations here:http://www.rolclub.com/pips-program-...ding-pips.html

If you see the point nr.16 in the update, you will see that it was repported that NO PRESS WAS THERE to cover this.
So we will just have to cover it by other means as donations from our members. Next trip for further updates will be discussed by me, yogibrood and thebat$, so that we can get you the needed facts.. Please do support our "fact finiding fund for pips! 2$ donations. Nobody will get rich due to these donation. Its all spent on The trip, the hotel, meal for the person that takes the time to get us these updates..Look at it as a newspaper your buying for 2$ :-)...

And to those that took part in the donations: thebat's trip cost us nearly $450. After paying for his trip, to get us this update, we now have $386.10 left in our "Fact finding funds for pips! 2$ donation account"..

If you want to read more about how this started, please go to link:

All has been kept transparent. Images of donaters posted after passing each $100 in our account etc etc etc...
    LATEST UPDATE REGARDING PIPSINC!12-April-07

Hi from Session Court Seremban I am currently in a cybercafe in town. My info was spot on. The hearing is for today and tommorow. (12th & 13th)

I arrived in Seremban town around 4am today after a bumpy (bad absorber) and scary ride. The bus decided not to proceed to Seremban, at around 3am we the few remaining passengers were told to get down at a reststop and shift to another bus!

    Here is my report.

    1. BM and SM are still in custody.

    2. They cannot raise bail.

    3. I was sitting two rows from them, in the court.

    4. BM looked tired, thinner and frail.

    5. SM looked bewildered, tired.
(I could hardly recognise them as they were led into the dock in handcuffs)

    6. The court registrar were uncooperative

    7. I had to get help from a lawyer, a DPP and the court officers.

    8. I have the case numbers

    9. BM & SM lawyer is J. Kuldeep Kumar

    10. the Judge is Tuan Alaudeen Bin Ismail.
    11. DPP Mohd Syed & DPP Nazrin prosecuting
    12. The Defendants lawyer J. Kuldeep is filling a motion/petition to further reduce the bail, which is set at present $400,000 with 1 surety each.

    13. Hearing for this motion is set to 22nd of May.

    14. The Main trial is set on the 10 and 11th of September 2007

    15. The court doesn't use sound system, so I could hardly hear them speak even though I sat as close as possible.

    16. There were no press present.

    17. After the trial ajourned, I was met by some photographers and press people. I had wanted to take a pic of the Marsden but they did not come out of the court through the normal exit.

    18. I didn't make any contact with BM or SM.

    19. SM seem to take notice of me. I have never met her before.

    20. I was quizzed by BM's lawyer about my purpose. I told him that I was here to observe the trial because my friends from overseas had ask me too. He seem suspicios of me and spoke in a low voice to the Marsdens, when I looked in their direction.

    21. BM was wearing a grey shirt with black/blue slacks and his hair cut short combed back.

    22. Sharon was in a prison t-shirt, greenish yellow.

    23. Sharon is held in a lock-up in Kajang (Selangor)

    24. BM is held in Seremban.

    25. Personal observation, looks like BM & Sharon are down but they are still in good spirits. Their lawyer looks confident and competent.

    26. The DPP is going to call the ROC (Register of Company) and the Banks as witnesses. (If I heard correctly, too soft.)

    27. This hearing is from the Jan 4 postponement.

That's all for now. I will be in Nilai then to KL. But I guess that the most important part is settled.

He tried from therre to make other reservations and had many disappointments untill finally, got through to one in Kuala Lumpur, but that journey will needed later after the hearing later in the morning once the trial has ended for today.

He had to go get some decent breakfast and stayed within close proximity of the Session Courts that is best reached with a cab. Cabs are, to his amazement, much more expensive as oppose to his hometown in Penang!

With the help and friendly assistance of a DPP, she managed easy access to relevant information to give Batty a headstart and towards the precise court building/room and seated himself as close as he can but remaining discrete from the defendance bench.

The Press were present!!! But they remained to stay outside for the sole reason that the cases before the Marsdens and when the Marsdens case was brought up, he later learnt that the emphasis was far from expected for the case our Anchor man was there to cover!

There is another much more prominent case to be handled and the key defence person is a local tycoon charged with some other domestic case involved with a Supermarket chain.

Thebat$ was however confronted by some Press guys when making his exot from the courtroom. They just wanted to know if he was there and covering the local tycoon's case but when it was mentioned anout the Marsdens and the Fraud involvement, it was brushed aside as a small if not, insignificant trial. Hence, no real focus is shadowing the Marsdens at the moment, esp. when today was merely to pick up where it was last left off in January.

Batty stood around to familiarise more with the courthouse and surroundings and managed to snap a pic of the premises, from the outside view. None of the Marsdens or Defence lawyer and within the time of the hearing that the motion was carried forward to May, and again, only to re-appear and discuss/confirm the trial date in September, de****e a date was opted. In May, the September date will be confirmed eventually.

In the meantime, Batty made his way to KL, the capital of Malaysia to go check in with the hotel. Once there, again, they informed him, it is FULLY booked and no records...bla,blah, blah!!!

However he left with the assurance thhat an exception will be undertaken to get him a room after all but he'll know of it by a return call within 3 hours, giving him time to move about town and perhaps go get some grub... he didn't have the stomach to crave for Satay though... it was pouring like cats & dogs at that moment!

When we were having our hour long telco, he was at an Eating Complex and I was in another town by my side. He was quite upset about the hotel outcome, I reminded him to demand for the Reservation Booking Reference when the hotel next call him. I also wanted to know if the current funds are adequate to cover his stay and travelling untill he returns to his hometown and he believes he can manage it thriftily. Reminded him to avoid using his CC nless absolutely necessary, he understood that.

We won't publish those relevant contact nrs or details that leads to rhe various depts which Batty now has secured, fortunately. I hope MOST of you will understand the reason behind this, as there are among you, some elements who will doanything to gain such information for their own use, lurking within our forum, and is not actually serving or supporting our initiatives at all... thus, don't ask for it, it is in good, safe hands and we will treat it as such!

He then plans to make his way by a short train or taxi trip to the various Pi Inc establihments and research for more information. Snap whatever pics possible as well.

He'll make his way, after checking out of hotel and cover as much grounds before nightfall and safely make home by overnight coach again the next day, Saturday i.e.

I'll be speaking again with him as I promised to call him. As for the trip to the May hearing, we did come to the conclusion that a trip may be necessary, though a short stay is all it needs so he gets 1st hand and upfront coverage... I think, you all will agree to this too...but we shall see when that week approaches.

It was great chatting with him and trailing onto other non Pips issuestoo.

Thank you all for reading this post.

    YB.

Here you have thebat$ short update version, he sent to us, with yogibrood filling out more details from his chat on the phone with thebat$.
We will still try to get a more detailed update for you when thebat$ is back from the region by tomorrow, with further information.

I wish to thank all that took part in the donations for us to be able to bring you the news. I also wish to thanks thebat$ for taking time and going to the region to get us all updated..

Fantastic update, Batty. Very good work.

Shame the proper trial is not until September, but what is another few months?

    Does that mean 400k each?
Its down from 1 mil each in bail right?

    Thumbs up Well done Batty!

Well done Batty! Your workings on Pips are much appreciated, & let's hope that we will soon have an outcome, either way. Can someone out there PLEASE tell me how I can donate? I don't have e-gold, or whatever, so am at a bit of a loss, & I'd like to "do my bit" as it were funding-wise. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. And keep up the great work Batty.
