When I was lurking about the area, I was surprised to see a door open. Things that run through my mind were.
1. Somebody inside. But who?
2. Looters? Danger!
3. New owners? Nah...........
4. Investigate.

Take a look at the condition of the interior of the Bistro.

It was shocking and I felt unsafe to venture in further. Maybe I'll bring along my batsuit next time!

Here's a shot of the second floor of the bistro. As you can see. The inside is barer than old mother hubbard's cupboard. This poor Bat had none!
BTW, the photos was supposed to be in a slideshow form. I'll get to it later as the photobucket is not working. Sheesh... let down by technology!
Okay ppl. Bat$ out.
Thanks for the remaining snaps Batty!:ro_emote: And thanks again to technology, the putrid smell did not make through my firewall....
Phew... that stairway sure don't lead up to heaven...
YB: Sorry your firewall filtered out the smells, but not on mine. Be glad it did. I realize this question is somewhat redundant, but how does a $700 Million Dollar Debt-Free legitimate company end up like this?
OMGosh... Lynn... you might need to call the cableman for that...:noserious;
Up in smoke some might suggest?? Hardly! More as being siphoned away swiftly to somewhere secure but strangely, spent savagely & ruffled recklessly regardless of repercussions for real and reliable linders support stemmed out of solid solidarity shown ...sigh.
In my opinion too, there WAS no need to be in debt...initiially i.e. coz there was abundance on hand to spend like hell... who can tell back then until the buck began to stop at their doorsteps!!! :sads:
:cheer: You held on yr reins long enuf Lynn... let the mustang go and remove the saddle... its time to let it's back breath free again & out into the country...:woohoo:
I cant help but wonder how this builing was left in this vandalised state. Was there no insurance ? No caretaker ? Some may recall that BM was still around a while after the Bistro was shut and vandalised. So no insurance ? Very odd.
Good questions Dreamer, but who owns the building? Memory serves me that Sharon and her brother owned PIPS Bistro, PIPS Coffee House, so the question is did they own the entire building or only those units within this building complex similar to a condo? Still, you would think there would be security at least by the insurance company to protect their property until it could be sold. Makes one believe BM and Sharon never insured it at all. Of course no-one bothered to question them if the properties were insured, and by whom, and if they owned the entire building or just these entities. The way they talked, it sounded as if these businesses were in their own building, not units that were part of a larger building. Just a few of many questions that were never asked from the beginning.
Good points and noted. All the properties seem to have been leased.
Presumably the lease is now broken for unavoidable non payment and has no monetary worth at all ?
Great stuff, Batty. Did you take any of the letters from New Mark? I'd have been very tempted!
